Sad thing is that this would actually be progress.I absolutely hate, as in despise and vomit all over the idea of moral victories but I think the best progress we can hope for this year is to be more competitive in games. I just don't know, I can't see the path from here to there but I am ready to be surprised.

I'm not expecting any surprises from the football team. I'm expecting a tremendous new hire in December. ISU had the opportunities to build on headline grabbing upsets and didn't capitalize on the field or with recruiting.

I cheer for Iowa State football even if we lose every game, but it doesn't change the fact that we suck at football. There is a difference between being a fan of the team and being realistic.

I am excited, too. Looking forward to a new era. I live in S. America and sometimes it is hard to watch the games. Here soccer is a religion.
