Testifying
At one point I thought there was a Canadian company that tried to get Casey's, maybe this would be another path?

Imagine that downtown building going up for sale and maybe getting 25% of what they paid for it.

The family over-extended themselves with the Italy soccer purchase and has bold plans for Pro-Iowa Soccer.

I think all options are on the table as far as capital raising in concerned.

Casey’s or KwikStar will jump on it
This is exactly how Kwik Trip swarmed Madison and Milwaukee. They bought all of the PDQs. I had wondered if there was a reason they weren't building any in Ames and even wondered if they were going to go after K&G.

Do you happen to know if they even have employees using that building? I drive by it most mornings going to work and don't see anyone inside it.

Kwik Star is in Ames.

$2 billion seems like a lot for a quickie
While I agree, there are situations…

Not sure this would be a good fit for KwikTrip, both due to the type of store K&G has, as well as how Kwik Trip operates its distribution for those larger stores and food products they make in-house.

Maybe Casey's, but it would seem to be a lot of overlap with existing locations.

If I felt like HyVee was in a better financial state i'd say they'd be a decent match for Hyvee to expand the footprint of their 'fast and fresh' stores.

I'm not sure I count one in the eastern outskirts as truly being in Ames. It feels like there should be 4 or 5 of them at a minimum.

Lol what? Its in Ames and is killing the K&G across the street. I wish there were more but Cases bought all the old Swift stops that Gary Thompson sold. Minus the one by west hyvee, that one will be torn down sometime.
