KU vs KSU Brawl

Everyone gets keyed up when playing Kansas. Fans, players, coaches. Fans want to say they were there when their team beat Kansas. Players know that a win over Kansas is one of the best resume builders they can have to make the ncaa tourney. And coaches get big $$$ bonuses for beating Kansas and lose jobs for not beating Kansas.

It's good to be the king but it comes with a lot more stress and pressure and stuff like this.
There are like a dozen different thing wrong with this post.

Name them. Let's hear it.

I have seen ticket prices to KU at ISU games when ISU fans think they have a shot at beating Kansas. It is almost always the most expensive and desirable ticket of the season. Go tally up the number of times there has been a hosted event such as ESPN Game Day involving Big 12 teams. I'd bet the majority of those have been KU road games.

The statement about beating KU as a huge resume builder is 100% fact. Having a win vs a Top 4 seed in the tourney is the best possible win you can have and a win at AFH is even more rare and precious. Kansas has been a Top 4 seed in each of the last 19 seasons. Again, simple verifiable facts. Nothing wrong here.

And numerous coaches have bonuses written into their contract for either beating Kansas head to head (Bob Huggins gets $25,000 for beating KU) or for winning the Big 12 ahead of Kansas. I'd argue that Shaka Smart is largely the coach at Texas because he beat Kansas in the 2011 Elite Eight.

I have now provided verifiable examples of each of my statements. Now it's your turn to provide verifiable examples of "like a dozen different things wrong" with my statement. I wont hold my breath..

OK Boomer...

Just admit that last night was messed up and move on. Your lengthy diatribe here does nothing for the thread topic and simply continues your support of the team...we got it.

Just got home from work and saw a brawl during a game and I didn’t know that the XFL started today!
I didn't see the brawl but this is what I understand happened based upon Tuco's posts.

A KSU player put a chair in DeSousa's hands and raised his arms up above his head. Another KSU player pushed McCormick over another KSU player, picked up his McCormick's leg, and slammed it down a couple of times into the chest of the KSU player lying on the floor. The Kansas players were trying to resist but the moves were so unexpected that they didn't have adequate time to prevent these events.

McCormick also had someone grab his hands, make them into fists, and made him swing at them several times in a crowd.

This is apparently known to Tuco as 'shoving'.

I didnt see McCormack do anything but step over a chair and push a KSU guy that had just punched his teammate.

Man this is funny and invalidates anything you've posted on this thread, and perhaps anything you've ever posted ever, because it's a complete lie all the way through.

I don't see the problem. If anything, it shows consistency in my belief that people who are not in the game should not step out on to the court to confront people they have a problem with.

I agree you are consistent on that.

what are your thoughts about players stomping other players on the ground and trying to hit them with chairs? Are you consistent on that?

I just watched the clip of self on ESPN.com. He ain’t exactly taking responsibility. He says he’s sure he’ll have some punishment for his players. I hope the league doesn’t let him decide.
Totally disagree. He said it was an embarrassment and people will be punished. What more do you want him to do?

Get over yourself. It didn’t matter that Shaka beat Kansas, it’s that he got his small school to the FINAL FOUR and had a unique scheme for an up and coming coach. You could replace the word Kansas in your statement with any given team in the nation and have the same outcome. Go whine somewhere else.

This attitude of “we’re so good and have been for so long so everyone hates us” isn’t true at all. We hate you because you’re a bunch of pompous a-holes who say things like that and play the victim when things like last night happen.

Say what you want about Bill and I’m sure I’ll get killed for this, but I’ve never seen him as a sleezy coach in the same vein as the other coaches wrapped up in some of these other scandals. I see him as a stand up dude with stuff like this.

Well, yeah, but then there's the whole Adidas thing.........

This was what he wore to their midnight madness thing, whatever they call it. So classy! I think Snoop Dogg was there, too. What a fine representation for the program.

Which is a technical and a free throw. No problem.

Which means the problem actually started when the Kansas State team.emptied their bench and charged onto the court to initiate contact with players who were playing the game.

You can take a "I hate KU, they deserve it" approach all you want but that was when the incident went from "fouls committed on the floor by players playing in the game" to "a problem".

Only a KU fan could somehow victimize themselves in this. McCormick was 30 feet into the crowd swinging his fists. De Sousa wielded a chair. Get out of here with this ****.

The "but he started it" non-sense doesn't work with my 6 year old, why should it work for college kids? I don't care who started it.

I have seen nothing about anyone stomping on anyone else on the ground. If there is video of that which clearly shows that happening, I haven't seen it yet.

As for DeSousa, I fully expect KU to suspend him for his ridiculous behavior for an indefinite amount of time. If he was dismissed from the program, I wouldn't argue it at all. I would have preferred that he not punch the KSU player that was pushing him repeatedly and if it ended there then he'd get a three game suspension or so. He crossed a line when he lifted that stool over his head and he with rightfully get the hammer dropped on him for that.

What's wrong with having the TBS game show host/Burger King commercial star at an event?
