KSU Predictions

There will be a lot of fouls. The question will just be whether or not the officiating crew decides to call most of them or let them go. KSU will love it if they decide to "just let them play" since playing physical (aka foul them every trip down the floor) is what they do.

Maybe an unorthodox coaching method, but if kstate starts fouling heavily inside and the refs are not calling it, I would bring in Booker and have him play the same or even rougher.

Sacrifice a few team fouls and eventually its gunna get a little to rough, maybe even chippy and the refs will be forced to call a tighter game.

Probably a bit risky on the road but with Booker we have the perfect guy to pull it off. I could see Floyd doing something similar in his days.

I'll go with the prediction from ESPN...

Iowa State at Kansas State, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN2: This is a matchup of the Big 12’s top scoring offense (ISU is averaging 73.9 ppg in Big 12 play) and its top scoring defense (KSU is giving up 60.3 ppg in conference play). What I appreciate about this game is that both teams recognize how the Big 12 has changed in the past week. Kansas State (7-2) and Iowa State (6-3) are not only chasing an NCAA tournament slot, but they’re also going after a Big 12 crown that is no longer a given for the Jayhawks. Will Clyburn has been a star for the Cyclones in recent weeks. He scored 28 in a win against Baylor and 24 in a win against Kansas State in their first matchup. The Cyclones are 4-1 when he scores 16 or more in league play. He’ll show up Saturday and lead Iowa State to another win against the Wildcats.
Prediction: Iowa State 69, Kansas State 63

Iowa State 73, Purple Kitty Cats 65. Let the three pointers rain. Game is not really as close as the final score.

this one will be tough. Refs let the rough play go until it gets out of hand, and ISU starts racking up ridiculous fouls 2nd half.

KSU wins by 8.

this is going to be a tough stretch for our team. If we come out with a W, it will set the tone for the rest of the schedule and we would be the scariest team to face in the league. Right now I think that is OSU but we could take over that helm pretty easy. Lets just beat those stupid purple wild cats!!

We'll get more road wins, but I'm not feeling this one. I think we are better than purple kansas, just not enough better to overcome being on the road and the way the game is called. We lose another heartbreaker: 70-68.

I predict one fatty will run out of breath carrying a Dominican Republic flag.

If Babb makes McGruder a non factor, the result will be the same as last year. Kstate is our polar opposite in play style, and has been the walking example of teams not being able to slow Fred's teams down and still score enough points to win.

ISU 67
Kstate 62

Honestly Mcgruder didn't have a great game last time (Babb) but Rodriguez had an awful game. If he does again, I think we win 70-66. He's another threat we have to worry about. He is a physical PG.

If he's on and their bigs show up, KSU wins 74-68.

I just feel like we might get homered ( as we do in Hilton sometimes)

Feel like K-State wins this one but we bounce back with 4 wins in a row heading into the KU game on 2/25.

I predict by the end of the season KSU will still have 0 Big XII regular season titles. And ISU will have at least 2.

Cyclones 79

Wildcats 78

The good guys win a crucial road game with a last second buzzer beater !!
