Kickoff for Texas?

Homecoming. Halloween. Night game. Should be a unique atmosphere.
I'm sure there's been games on Halloween in the past but I dont remember them well. Is the student section the only part of the stadium where people will wear costumes? Do you think the teletubbies make a return?

Cy will wear his ghost costume

Not on Halloween. This is the worst possible time for people with kids. Won't have time to trick-or-treat before or after. Guess I'll have some tickets for sale:realmad:

I thought every one in Iowa did trick or treating on Beggars night, the night before Halloween?

My mom still acts surprised when I tell her that the kids are out Trick-or-treating on Halloween night.

They should promote trick or treating for the tailgate. Have a bowl of candy for the kids to walk by and grab.

Beggar's Night is only a Des Moines thing I thought. It's certainly not a thing in eastern Iowa at all. No one's ever heard of it.

We trick-R-treat on Friday, love me some Beggars Night action. We also tell jokes

What about jokes? I know that no where else in the country does that, but is that also a Des Moines metro thing or has that spread to other parts of the state?

This. I am from central Iowa where Beggar's night is a thing. I asked some neighbors when Beggar's night is and they looked at me like I was stupid. I thought Beggar's night was a thing everywhere so cities can choose when to have official trick or treating rather than it always be on Halloween.

****. after last week and the baby being thrown off schedule and up all night we said we can't do another 6 pm game.

****.

and i already had my costume ready to go.

Is your avatar a picture of you in your costume? I'm assuming some sort of Catelyn Jenner theme? :swoon:

The good thing about this is what the Women in the student section will be wearing! They wont be going home to change after the game so it could be at least nice scenary!!:wideeyed:

You assume they'll even go to the game in the first place.

That's probably for the best. The last 5:

1998 at OU - L, 14-17
1992 vs MIZ - W, 28-14
1987 vs CU - L, 10-42
1981 at KSU - L, 7-10

A lot of cities will announce when trick or treating will happen; for example, if Oct. 31 falls on a weeknight, sometimes they go backwards to the Friday or Saturday night beforehand. So trick-or-treating in a certain community might be on Oct. 29 or something and the city announces that in advance, but it isn't a permanent thing.
