Well, what are everyone's opinions?

Listened to the game on the radio. Aside from Bass, I can't really think of any positives.

Were the stands full tonight?

Well, I'm glad that Gene Chizik is down there pacing the sidelines...that gives me some comfort. I'm really disappointed in the letdown of offense in the second half, obviously. The O-Line is still shaky, and if that were better, we might have had a lot more. But still, it is hard to stomach losing to Kent State, just hope they use this as a motivator and not get down.

Glad I didn't make the 3 hour drive. If this coaching staff can work miracles, we may win three games. If not ...

It'll be interesting to see what changes are made for next week. Maybe we were too hard on Barney. Scoring only 14 tonight leads me to believe it might be a personnel issue, not a coach or play calling issue. Did I just defend Barney Cotton?

JJ Bass is the man.
The gold pants don't seem to fit.
Barring injuries Scales and Harris won't see the light of day this year.
We may be seeing more of Arnaud this year than we thought.
Bates isn't redshirting.
Louisville is like Florida vs. 1AA good.
JJ Bass is the man.
Ben Bruns fills DMAC's void on the radio-- absolutely, no doubt about it.

Looked pretty half-speed and half-hearted for half a game.

I guess what I am saying is that looked a little half-***.

Well, what are everyone's opinions?

We were horrible last year. Combine horrible with unfamiliarity between coaches and players, and you have a recipe for disaster. There is a very real possibility that we could be in for a WINLESS season.

I don't know why we put up with Dan McCarney for so long. He was an assistant coach before coming here, and the best job he can get after leaving is as an assistant coach for the University of South Florida???? I mean, I could understand it if he moved from head coach here to assistant coach at somewhere like Miami or USC, but USF is a lateral move AT BEST. And that's who we had as our head coach for twelve years. Man...

Watching the second half looked very eerily similar to McCarney ball. Either very little has changed, or it is a personnel issue.

-I thought the defense played fairly well considering the offense put them in tough spots.

-Offensive line play was better than I expected

-Culbertson is a sorry kicker. I'm sorry, but on a perfect night with no wind his 2 misses were unexceptable.

-Little disapointed in our conservative offense, and Bret Meyer's play.

Not sure I liked the amount of touches Bates got. I don't recall hearing about him tearing up the pre-season practices, so I was shocked he played at the times he did.

During the MSU/LSU game tonite they showed the 1st three year records of Schiano and Beamer (and Willingham).... this will be a long process. Just ask your nearest Colorado fan.

100 posts... yay.

I'm confused, why is McCarney being mentioned again?

What he said.

We can score quickly if the other team is not looking! Start of the 2nd half we marched right down the field with no problems so...

I am a hawkeye fan....firstly I would like to comment on you cheap asses who didn't fork over the 8 bucks to watch the game on the internet. It was VERY good coverage..as good as watching it on TV. I am sure people would have done PPV for eight bucks.

Secondly I LOVE ISUs new uniforms....(remember I am a hawk fan but they look pretty good).

From an outsiders point of view...The offensive line was getting pushed bigtime JJ BASS is awesome but the line needs to grow ..and it will.. I am worred about your defense though......seems like they got wore down..somthing that will not be good in big twelve play....Bowen is great but they obviously got tired...must be a deptht thing.

anyway .. I am sorry for the loss but it is a new system..

Pretty much what I expected. Our inexperienced D and O lines really showed. Their experienced lines really took advantage of the situation.

One ray of light is JJ Bass. He's the best back we've had since Ennis Haywood. The guys got nice speed, power, and tremendous vision.

Gene you have your work cut out for you this year.:wideeyed:
