Kansas to Big 10?

I've been to Nashville 3 times in the last 3 years and I can honestly say I can't distinctly remember seeing any Vanderbilt apparel being worn around.

What I'm about to say isn't an exaggeration. You could live there for years and maybe not see any Vanderbilt swag. I've stayed relatively close to the campus the last two times I've been there and still didn't see any. Nobody cares.

Does the money from ticket sales go into the conference pot?

What relevance does this have to your ****** argument? I brought the attendance up to illustrate nobody cares about Vanderbilt sports. Since there is strong correlation to attendance (which either signifies quality of team and/or strength of fan support) and TV ratings, it underscores market size doesn't matter when nobody in that market cares. Something you have, over an astounding 15 pages of posts, failed to grasp.

Because if a schools like USC and Oregon don't get money from ISU ticket sales why would they give a **** if Iowa State sells out or not? This is about money. If there is no monetary benefit for others in having a team with good attendance why would they be such a desirable school?

It's Oregon. They are the one constant here.
Bringing up the viewership in regards to the Rose Bowl (most popular bowl game ever) doesn't do s***. Lol Iowa State had better viewership this year, on average, than Oregon did.

That absolutely SHOULD NOT HAPPEN, if your claims of Oregon being a constant were true.

I’m also a Cyclone alum. I’ll let it slide, since you’re typically one of the more combative posters on here. I’ll just put you on ignore.
Good for you, Hok troll. I know I'm doing something right based upon that reply. I have a University of Iowa degree, too, but I don't go trolling on Iowa message boards.

KU could live in an area of 20 million for all I care. When your Conference record over the last decade only has 5 wins and nearly 90 losses, NOBODY is going to watch that. NOBODY.

You aren't very smart, are you.

Attendance also translates into eyeballs that watch the games. Iowa State not only sells tickets, but they also have a radid fan base that watches the games. Eyeballs equal ratings, and ratings equal dollars. With the football team on the up and up Iowa State is an incredibly more valuable commodity. Is it valuable enough to where other conferences will want us? I haven't made that claim. I am saying your persistent talk about market size and market size only isn't relevant. Why? Because the addition of Rutgers and the actual viewership that it brought made EVERYONE realize market size doesn't automatically equal viewers. Brands, quality teams, and fans do that.

I sure as hell hope you aren't in marketing/advertising for a living. I'd be fearful for your job.

We made less money last year than Texas Tech. Apparently selling season tickets for 200$ doesn't net you a lot of money.

It's all related you fricking dunce.

Actually we were 5th and ahead of Texas Tech in 2020.

1. Texas
2. OU
3. TCU
4. OSU
5. ISU

And when you can set a record in season ticket sales like we just did this offseason, I'd say you're doing just fine.

Not a smart move by Kansas. Why? Because it's not true, which both hurts their credibility and makes them seem overly desperate (which everyone already knows as likely every Big 12 school is hoping for a lifeline). BFE Kansas may have Denver cable stations but even IF there are Kansas fans there the Denver stations/market doesn't give two ***** about that area. Why? The state of Kansas ends west of Salina. The entire western half might struggle to exceed 100k peeps. Bringing that into the argument is lol laughable.

I was going to say, that was the biggest load of horse **** I have read in regards to all of this. Kansas has as much of a presence in the Denver market as Rutgers. Colorado is barely covered here. It goes Broncos, Broncos, Broncos, Avs, Broncos, Nuggets, Broncos, Rockies, Broncos, Broncos, Broncos, everything else way far down the list.

The guy did manage to get a DUI at 7 am and then proceed to tell others like it’s a badge of honor. He probably zipped his scrotum in his jeans in middle school but I’ll need to go back through all 500 posts to confirm. If he did, it’s in here somewhere!

Used to be a lot of KC Royals fans out there before the Rockies.
