Kansas Sucks.

I would take that bet all day. Kansas will be coming home fresh off a nice, easy road trip to TCU while ISU is heading out on the road coming off a tough home game against Kansas State. If Iowa State struggled on the road at Oklahoma where the road is basically nonexistent then we'll see how they do in the Phog. KU by 12. They won't turn the ball over 24 times the next game.

How'd that work out for you guys last year?

Probably won't be -12 like last year, that is some serious homering there.
So being -12 in Lawrence last year is "some serious homering" but being +15 at home when 6 of KU's FT attempts were after intentional fouls in the last 47 seconds is NOT? Poor picked on ISU. Always the helpless victim. Always some crazy conspiracy to explain why things were unfair. Spare me. You sound like a bunch of mid-major whiners with their inferiority complexes. ISU shot like crap and doesn't rebound well and it burned them. Period. It's really no more complicated than that. If they can shoot a better percentage (tough against the heighth and length of KU) and crash the boards better (leaving themselves more exposed to giving up easy transition buckets which KU excels at) then they have a shot. It doesn't make you a bad fan to identify things that the PLAYERS can do differently to change the outcome of a game. I was the first to call out Perry Ellis for his pi$$ poor performance against SDSU and quite frankly, he sucked again against ISU on Monday. Stick to focusing on the TEAM and what they can do to improve and you will be fine. Hoping that the refs will bail you out is a recipe for disappointment because the only consistent thing about college basketball referees is that they are totally inconsistent. Teams of refs are inconsistent in what they call in a game. Different teams of refs call different things than other teams. It will only lead you to want to go insane. Quit whining about refs.

Well he is an Iowa fan so hard to argue that.

I like our team, we couldn't play much offensively any worse than we did Monday, but there is less than 1% chance ISU goes into Lawrence and wins this year. Would take a weird 40 point game from someone or a role player like Naz Long goes crazy and makes 8 three's. Something crazy would have to happen.

Whoa dude, pump the breaks. First of all KU was +12 on actual fouls called in Phog Allen last year, not FT attempts. ISU was +9 in Hilton this year. Plus I was trying to point out that ISU got nearly every call against KU, and that they shouldn't expect that they will get any calls in Phog Allen (Home teams get the calls). That is the reality of college BB, and you have to be 10 points better than the home team, and KU was certainly 10 points better than ISU on Monday.

You are barking up the wrong tree here, not sure why this was pointed at me at all, as CyTwins pointed out I'm a stupid TavernHok fan....

We are due for something like this to happen. Kansas seems to keep lucking out whenever they play us. Banked in threes, blown calls, horrible offensive players having monster games, Georges going 0-9...One of these days a crack will open in the earth and swallow Phog Allen because of all the witchcraft they must be doing down there.

Ok KU's win the other night was not lucky. That's stupid.

Like most spoiled fan bases, KU never realizes just how good they have it. They never have to play 8 on 5 like the rest of the league. Kansas gets preferential treatment...even in other school's gyms.

If that's what you think is going on out there then you will always be doomed for disappointment because you have a built in losers excuse. The "Poor Me" victim's mentality is for losers. No one is picking on ISU or favoring Kansas.Fouls called @ ISU: KU 26 ISU 17 with 3 of those 17 being intentional in the last 47 seconds.Fouls called @ OU: KU 25 OU 21 with 3 of those 21 being intentional in the last 1:06.

Well your coach said you were lucky. But I guess he is probably wrong.
Self is notoriously self-deprecating. It's just a message being sent to his players through the media that 24 turnovers is ridiculous and they are lucky it didn't result in a loss.

But it is also time and situation, and you ALWAYS benefit from that

Elbows committed at least 9 fouls that I can think of, but was not fouled out till the game was out of reach.

He hit Ejim every bit as hard as he hit Kane. What was the difference??? There was still time left for Iowa State to come back. With Kane's there wasn't so a symbolic call to make it look like it wasn't what it was.

Plus after that cheap shot he threw against KState, he should have been punished for that as well.

So, did the refs hand you the win at the very end of last year's game at Hilton or not?

Need I remind you how the Big XII apologized to ISU last year for blowing the game? And that wasn't the first time. It's not the quantity of fouls called. Its the timing and the situation. Take a poll of every other fan base in the league they will tell you the same thing.
