Wichita State tops Kansas to advance to Sweet 16.Kansas has 6 first-weekend losses as a Top-2 seed, most in NCAA Tournament history
I heard they plan on bowing out in the second round of the tourney (that's the round of 32 hawk fans) so they can focus on next years conference schedule.
Not saying I called it, but I totally called it.
Would be interesting to compare this as a percentage of teams as a top 2 seed. I'm sure they have had more top 2 seeds in general than a lot of other teams in tournament history, so having the most flameouts is probably not a huge deal. However if they fail harder than other top programs (UNC, Duke, Arizona, UK, etc.), would be something nice to rub their noses in![]()
