Kansas a 2 seed?

Anybody think we would have gotten the #2 seed if we had blown out Kansas? Should we consider this a snub? Or just the cost of falling behind so often lately?

I'm smoking my Omaha tickets that I bought during the presale! And I think beating a team at least suggests that maybe we should be seeded above them. They must have been the last #2 and we must have been the first #3. That's close enough to have a conversation about it.
 
Uh, no. Kansas deserved a 2 seed. If anybody of the 2s was undeserving, it was Gonzaga with a much easier SOS than anyone in the top 25 except for UNI.

You should come out fine selling those tickets with KU,WSU, and Wisky.
 
We were the first 3 and they were the last 2. And I am fine with that. They probably got the nod based on SOS and RPI.
 
Per the committee rankings, they were the 4th #2 seed, we were the 1st #3 seed. What did we need to do in order to take the #2 seed from Kansas? Not lose to one of Maryland, South Carolina, Texas Tech, Baylor x2, Oklahoma, K-State, and/or Kansas.
 
KU won the reg. season crown over 18 games....We won the post season crown with 3 games in 3 days...KU played a better non-conf. schedule as well. Those two things beat us, but a nose.

But I would rather not be the number 2 seed in the Midwest, and be in UK's bracket. Have fun with that, plus they got a no win match up with Wichita State. If KU wins, they should have won...If WSU wins, it could help WSU continue its program growth!
 
Maybe if we didn't lose to South Carolina and Texas Tech. I don't know how you can think we deserve a 2 over them when they won the Big 12 and had a tougher SOS.

I don't see the no win philosophy in the tournament. KU would be rewarded plenty by beating Wichita State. That means another Sweet sixteen appearance for them.

Should we discuss how South Carolina should have a better seed than us?

Back to the original question. If we were the first #3 and KU was the last #2, it suggests to me that a blow out yesterday might have moved us to a #2 seed?
 
It was interesting how we were placed as the 9th best team, wonder how far we would have fallen if we didnt win the tournament especially since OU and Baylor are directly behind us. Cannot wait to see the damage this conference does in the tournament, its a night and day difference between the B12 and every other conference but maybe the top of the ACC.

IMO it only confirms my position that we were a 3 regardless of what happened in KC.
