Kane's Ankle

Freedom of speech is the political right to communicate one's opinions and ideas using one's body and property to anyone who is willing to receive them. Telling Niang et al twitter silence so they don't create bulletin board material is quite another matter. Let alone leaking Kane's injury update for Bill.
 
We really need Niang, Ejim and Hogue to shoot the ball well tonight. Making KU's bigs guard them on the perimter is what we need to happen to allow Kane to dominate.

This is an interesting discussion, but kind of irrelevant here because Iowa State athletes really don't tweet anything that objectionable. I'm sure they've been taught what is OK and not OK to say on social media and they seem to be doing that.

As far as Kane's ankle is concerned, as soon as it was revealed that there was no break and it was NOT a high ankle sprain, I'm guessing that Bill Self and Kansas assumed he would play. They only had a day to prepare either way, so I'm not sure that it getting out today at 2:00 that he is likely playing affects anyone anyway.

I'd bet he plays. I'd also bet he is not super effective, but that's that.
 
I will get this out of the way, if Kane does not play tonight, most news headlines tomorrow will be 'Kane is UN-Able'...... Sorry to add a joke on a non-joking matter, please don't shoot me.... :unsure:

On the other hand if he does play the headline could be Kane is able!

I would still expect we see a really heavy dose of Monte at the 1 to keep Kane from having to bring the ball up. Also I'd guess the percent of Kane in the post vs perimeter would be heavier toward the post.

Honestly I'm most excited about the fact that it seems like the ankle won't be much of a factor after the KU game based on this news. When he went down I had already written off the KU game and was thinking he'd miss this whole stretch of tough games we have coming.
