Kane's Ankle

Looks like the universe caught up with us again. Without Kane we will lose the next two.
I would have agreed a few weeks ago but Monte has gotten some key minutes and I am not afraid of him running the offense for a few games. Naz will also pick up some of the action to keep us winning.

It should be common sense to know that people respond to injuries, like sprained ankles, differently. Nobody "knows" how he will respond tomorrow or Monday to treatment. He might not be able to walk tomorrow or he might able to run. Who knows. It's pretty silly speculate on this right now.

You show me someone who truely sprains and ankle and is healed in 2 days and I will show you a liar.

Brett Favre and Adrian Peterson are the only 2 that I can think of. Not healed, but being able to play with the pain.

So basketball is football now? Tell me how ofter Farve was guarding people on the perimeter. How did Sam look this year with a sprained ankle?

I severely sprained my ankle and played in a tournament 5 days later a few years ago... stayed off it and RICE'd it, wrapped the crap out of it and played... was I as effective? no... but I could still play...

Just have to see how it reacts. Sprains that look and feel bad can be ok in a day or two, other times one that doesn't look or feel that bad can really be a problem.

My guess is it is sore as hell, his mobility is limited on Monday but he gives it a go. But that is a guess, who knows.

This is kind of how I see it playing out. 20-30 min is what I would guess.

LeBron did it this season. Sprained it against Utah, played 2 days later against Indiana. I am sure there are plenty of others that have as well, he is just one highly publicized case that happened less than a month ago.

If he can go, I wouldn't expect him to have to have limited minutes. Sitting out would just give it time to tighten up.

Big time teams do NOT lose at home, so we will see Monday nite whether we are a contender or a pretender....

Go Clones UPSET thee Jayhoks!

Just depends how it reacts, we won't know till gametime on Monday. Fred isn't going to tip his hand one way or the other

I say we tape that ankle up... give him a shot of morphine and a shot of horse adrenaline and play him till the bone is sticking out on Monday.

Of course, i'm not an athletics trainer...

But you are correct, he wasn't healed, just able to play on it. There is a difference.

Some of the girls in this thread don't know true competitors play hurt all the time. Their moms didn't allow that in junior high ball.

If Kane has any chance of going, he will.
