Kane sick - been throwing up all day

FWIW: I was at the team hotel like 2 hours ago and saw DeAndre taking pictures with fans in the lobby. I'm not saying this isn't true but he didn't look sick to me. Also talked to a few other people while there and they didn't mention it.

Thanks for the update, Chris.

The excitement of a big event like this gets people's minds racing. Kane could have had his Gatorade go down the wrong pipe and coughed extra hard and the game of telephone takes off....you know, to make our win tonight that much more of a story line.

We had a reception at work today for someone changing jobs and her husband came off, all serious to the group "The latest that I'm hearing is Flip Saunders is THERE and is going to offer Fred TONIGHT!!!!!!"

Enjoy the ride fellas, and even if he is under the weather, you know none of these guys are going to give less than 100%. Hell, I bet if they let him Niang would be hopping on one foot up/down the court.

What if one of the players sent this text to a friend all in an attempt to see how quickly the misinformation made it to CF?

If Kane were indeed sick I guarantee u the very first thing Fred does is to tell the players to not text or tweet anything. And if he were really sick as OP heard than he would not be at the shoot around he would be getting an iV and rest like others have said.

just to play Devil's Advocate, if it were something like food poisoning, he could have seemed fine a couple hours ago. But obviously it's hopefully just someone who was misinformed.

eta: though that still doesn't account for the "sick all day" part

Delete this thread now. Go post this insider info on a uconn board.

That's one sick smile.

For the record, I'm hearing that Fred left the team to go coach the Montreal Canadiens. Apparently, it's time for a new challenge, and UConn didn't provide it.
Also, he took Naz and Mel-Mel with him, 'cuz, you know, they're Canadian.

Yep...if some end of bench player thought they'd be cool telling their pal..that person would not be on the bench much longer. The coaches take this very seriously, obviously a competitive advantage for scouting. Heck, I remember stories of Bill Snyder sending guys out of practice with slings on both arms so if there was an injury it wouldn't spread...and that's before social media!

Also remember, games like this are BIG money.....there are people "scouting" to give info to Vegas...CFH and the staff know what "stays in the family" and what is public info.

Even if the OP wasn't a troll and the news was true, why would you immediately come on here and post about it?

The bigger question is.....do Miller and Brinson mention this on their talkshow at 4PM? They always seem to want to stir the pot.

Perhaps there was a sighting of the former And 1 streetballer Sik Wit It? They are in NYC after all.
