Kam White...

Did a quick search (for ***** and giggles) about where he's from and this is what I found:

The Clinton Public School District serves an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in grades pre-K through 12. It is regularly ranked as one of the top public school districts in Mississippi. Schools include Clinton Park Elementary (K-1), Northside Elementary (2–3), Eastside Elementary (4–5), Lovett Elementary (6), Clinton Junior High (7–8), Sumner Hill Junior High (9) and Clinton High School (10–12). Additional schools include the CHS Career Complex, offering college and career readiness courses for grades 10–12, and Clinton Alternative School. Recently the Clinton school districts have given out Macbook Air's to all of their high school students and varying different electronic devices to other grades (all apple products).

All of its tested schools are ranked "A," the highest possible academic rating a Mississippi public school can attain, and the district rating is also "A." Clinton Park Elementary serves grades K-1 and is not rated, since the state test is not administered until third grade.

It's kinda like being the most polished turd, but he's certainly not in a place where a good education is hard to come by.
Fair, and thanks for doing that little digging. I was just going off of an earlier posters statement about his school producing top-level talent regularly but not getting good education. I guess I shouldn't have assumed, my b

That's fine. The last thing I did during my high school years was try and I passed. Barely, but I did. If I was someone that was a stud athlete and had offers from all over the country, I think I'd be putting in a significant amount of effort. That goes across the board to all high school kids, not just Kam, assuming even that this is accurate info.

Fair point. I've got kids his age and the last thing they sometimes seem to do is the thing that makes the most sense. I also have a friend with an athlete kid who had to go the JUCO route. His kid realized too late that grades matter. Great kid, just learned a hard lesson.

Looks like the Cyclones have a better chance of playing in a bowl than the Rebels do.

Then again, not hard to beat a 0% chance all the sudden...

I want kids to go where they want to, obviously. No hard feelings with Kam White or Caleb Chandler or anybody else. But ironic the former is going to be playing X-Box and not football next December, intentionally walking into that situation, right?

They won't do **** to them. Penn State was let off early and easy. Hard to imagine a worse situation than that or Baylor and neither of those two universities seem like they're going into the dark ages right now.

The NCAA has no jurisdiction over sexual assaultaong students or staff it seems. Improper benefits to recruits or athletes is in their wheelhouse, however. Weird huh
