Justin Hamilton update

A loss, but not a huge loss...

He still had a lot of work to do to improve his game...He was not a physical presence down low, and struggled to finish around the rim. For being ~6'11, he was a weak player.

Good for him that he is doing well in the SEC and playing closer to home.....

While he wasn't a bully down low, saying he was weak is inaccurate. He had good hands and was still developing as a basketball player. He was a very good athlete with a good build for 6'11". 7 footers, especially college 7 footers, aren't usually very thick.

I would have liked him much more if he had used his agile 7-foot frame and just DUNKED THE BALL!!! I can't count how many times he had a lay-up blocked when he could have just gone up with power and dunked or at least drawn the foul. Other than that, I thought he was solid.

This is just sour grapes. He also played a good portion of his Sophmore year with a Sport's Hernia injury. I've had one of those and they hurt like heck.

You can call it what you want, but he hardly put the ball up strong or posted up in the lane. Hence why he needed things to work on. Sure he had potential to be a good player, but those things, he needed to work on to be that good player.

But call it sour grapes if you must.

Someone please tell him the sweatband isn't a good look for him.

Who cares what he did (which wasn't bad)--it's what he's capable of and is doing now that we're missing out on because we had a deadbeat coach who let him get away. If you think this team wouldn't be improved with Hamilton on it, you're nuts.

I never said that.

I do think he'd help if we still had him.
