Seen a lot of this in the last few weeks and it's ridiculous. It's out of JP's hands assuming there isn't a massive turn around. He's gone in about a month, just be patient.
Heaven forbid people want to remain optimistic. I understand frustration and wanting a new coach. The attitude that people almost want us to lose is incredibly annoying.
Well no **** Chuck, however we don't have the horses that OU has or had! Mangino is trying to find an offensive scheme to fit his personnel. Or maybe he is trying to sabotage the season to get the head gig!
I think part of Richardson's problem is that he's just been so dang beat up over the years. He's lacking confidence do to the coaching changes and lack of blocking, and no run game over the past 3 years where he's had to run for his life.
We finally have a decent ground game for the first time and a line that is giving him some adequate time, he just needs to play loose his last remaining game.
We can't switch coordinators again, if that's the option Jamie gives Rhoades then the whole staff needs to go. It's not good for the players to have to continually have to learn a new play book, get taught different techniques from new coaches every other year. That was the one thing Iowa was good at, retaining their coaching staff for so long so they could implement their system, with their kids, and do it over and over again.
In the end, who knows what the answer is!

I think you know "what the heck" and it ain't Mangino, Herman, or any other OC we bring in. Hell it might not have even been a Messingham issue.
Rhoads is worse than McDermott. McDermott had proven he could be successful as a head coach in a different league. McDermott at least kept it close to .500 each year. McDermott had an NBA-caliber diamond in the rough (though he didn't see it).
Rhoads has a Harley, a camera crew and a long-haired longsnapper. The only way he would get hired away would be to take a demotion, and he's too proud to do that until forced.
Not gonna pull the douchey "link" bs but have to ask if this is something you're actually really confident about? If not please don't toy with my emotions!
Of course Pollard isn't going around telling people that Rhoads is going to get fired. That's not how it works. Rhoads will have Pollard's full support until the morning after the last game of the season, when he hands him his walking papers. Pollard knows this, Leath knows this, Rhoads knows this. We, as fans, know this.
Although I couldn't find that specific quote, some interesting stuff from Herman about what he learned from Urban Meyer
"One thing that I've gotten much better at is confrontation with my assistant coaches. I've learned that it's O.K., you just can't ever make it personal. I think that's one thing that you learn from someone like Urban, or if you've heard Nick Saban talk. It's never personal. It's never, "You stupid jerk, why did I hire you?" The way to handle it is, "You're not doing your job. This is what we need you to do. Get it done. These are the expectations."
Not directly or even indirectly a dig at Rhoads. But Herman gives some interesting insights into what makes Urban Meyer succeed.

I don't think anyone wants to lose. I think they expect to lose. 3 conference wins in 3 years has that effect.
Going 15-15 in CBB is basically the same as going 3-9 in CFB. The mood of this board is very VERY similar. I believe the talent level and experience matches up as well. The last McDermott team had no business not making the tourney.
McD got another shot because of his success at UNI, we hired Rhoads when he was an out of work DC, cant believe that didnt work out...SMH
I was listening too. PR defended Wally & the defenses adjustments at halftime. Said offensive coaches getting out-coached.
