Juco DB commits

Decent pickup. Great size for a safety. Special Teams. There is potential as well as need.

Coaches going Juco on these last two recruits. Makes one wonder if they are showing their disdain for the portal? Even though they have grabbed a few portal guys, I know. Just not playing that game as much as most teams.

Couple of you are the pointy aluminum foil cap wearing type.
I am scratching my head at this thread. Prior to the last couple years, signing a recruit was great news!

Not sure if it is a result of Coach Campbell's recent success or a reflection of our greater society.

I am happy for Treyveon, he gets to fulfill his dream of playing D1 football and get an education from a fine school!!

High school measurables: 6'1" 185 lbs
Juco freshman yr: 6'4" 210 lbs

hopefully somewhere in between ? :D

I’d trust a JC ‘s website heights and weights even less than I do the two deeps ours puts out.
New math: Let the ISU BB team measure him, 4x. Take his CC measurables 1x. Add them together, the 5 measurables. Next divide by 5 to get actual number(s).

There you have it. Now only a slight exaggeration.

When you are 3 1/2 months from the season starting beggers can't be choosers. It's depth--we need depth.

Right, and I mean that's really all that was lost. McDonald excluded. This guy and the other JUCO will hopefully compete at a similar level as Morgan, Antoine, King, Young etc. with little to no drop off. You just need competent special teams play (which the departing players didn't always provide necessarily) and maybe 2 or 3 defensive snaps per game.

Our starting 5 in the secondary should be pretty solid and we have a few guys behind the starting 5 that I would not be afraid to play based on prior season performance.

If we have a couple young guys (freshman/rs freshman & rs sophomores) step-up we should have a solid 2 deep. IMO the 2 JUCO guys are special team guys and developmental guys in the secondary as both have 3 years to play.

The biggest issue will be avoiding injuries in the secondary among the starters.
