JTS Improvements - Want More

I read somewhere that this project will displace parking lot S-7. Anybody know when that will happen? Did it already happen and cause a trickle down effect in the A, B, and C lots?

Looks that way! Guessing they pour the wall tomorrow and then start the remaining fill/grade to get it to the same condition as the NE hill next week.
It is kinda nice that they swept the camera a bit further, so we can get a better view of the NE hill now.

Which might only be installing rails and sodding, but who’s counting?

Mt guess is it would displace a few spots in S7 to accommodate some support piers but I can't see it taking away the entire lot.

Will they bring a pumper truck in just for that small section of retaining wall or do you think they will do the walkway at the same time? Looks like that is all the concrete they have left in this section.

I read that three times then realized you misspelled hill. I seriously thought I missed something in here and we are now calling the two hills Jack and Jill.

They put a tarp over the retaining wall forms. When I run it back, I can see guys standing on the forms, but I’ll be darned if I can tell what they’re doing.

Looks like the forms are ready to pour the last section of retaining wall above the tunnel. I'd bet they can have the NW Hillside backfilled by next week. Speaking of the hillsides, I saw someone mention sod. Wouldn't they just have the turf guys seed, grow, and maintain all of that? I'm fairly sure that's what they did when they redid the fields east of MWL. My the area and timeline are small enough to justify sod for this?

My though was maybe it's just raining enough they don't want any standing water in the form before pouring. Or, do the forms get coated with something they don't want wet yet?

I don't think grass from seed would be able to handle the hillside traffic.

Sodding will be faster. It will have enough time before the UNI game for the sod strips to knit together and be ready for the hillside traffic. Just my 2 cents.

Any landscapers out there with the knowhow? Chime in.

I was actually wondering if they somehow managed to pour without using a pumper truck.

The rain is supposed to be ending shortly for the day, so maybe we’ll find out.

Yes to both would be my thought.

Trying to keep water from accumulating at the bottom of the forms (although that's solved with a 1/2 drill bit if it does happen). Those are wood forms so they are oiled before they put them up. Rain will wash the form oil off and then you'd have to strip everything back off to get the forms recoated prior to pouring.

As far as pouring, I'd be amazed if they placed that thing with a pump truck, but they've done everything else with a pump so maybe they have the budget to do it. I'd be in there with that little RT they've got onsite and a bucket, but maybe they like spending money.
