JTS construction webcam?

I'll be out in the SEZ project this afternoon. Can't wait to see the progress.

When I was an undergrad the North End Zone was a frigging trailer and some bleachers. What we're going to have on Sept. 5 is pretty impressive.

My god... Kyle Field post upgrade is going to be INSANE. I wasnt a huge fan of the stadium. But after the upgrades I think it will be the best stadium/atmosphere than any football stadium, pro or college

That's the true definition of lipstick on a pig. It'll be one of the coolest stadiums in the nation, but it's still A&M. I cannot even fully explain how freaking weird A&M grads are.

There is an Ag Program professor who has been at ISU for about 4 years now after being at A&M for 10 years. She was recruiting my niece into the program who was also considering A&M. The professor said "A&M is a good program, but there's a distinct difference between the students of the two programs. A&M students leave the program thinking they deserve a job, while ISU students leave the program FULLY deserving a job. ISU has better students without the arrogance."

The next Texas native I meet without arrogance will be the first. A&M is a perfect storm of arrogance and butthurtedness (of UT) to make the lethal combination that is "The 12th Man." Its toxic and exhausting.

I have driven eastern Texas six times in last two years and they have some real sad housing. The arrogance must come from the Dallas area.

Rural East Texas is no different than Mississippi and Louisiana.

Texas arrogance comes from Dallas/Houston/San Antonio/Austin suburbs. No different than Chicago and Minneapolis suburbanites really, but they're Texan, so its amplified.

We will probably good with 61000 seats for a long while. Hopefully the next round of updates will be facilities. i.e. new press box, expanded football facilities on the north end of of the stadium, etc...

i would like to see more suites on the East side of the stadium to mirror those on the west side that we added a few years ago. leave the outdoor gridiron club suites there in the middle if you want, but add more boxes on each end of that. move the students to the end zone, or at least get them off the 35 yard line in some way so we can sell those seats for their actual value.

Ideally a press box expansion would be sweet, but i know there's a bunch of structural questions there as to how you would do it and make it look not ridiculous, or end up having concrete footings right in the middle of the west concourse.

I'm fine with the hillsides on the north end staying there. offers discounted entry for those that aren't in a place to spend a lot on games and it;s a spot to park all the little kids that can't sit still in the stadium.

Except the only way to sit on the hillsides from now on is to have purchased Jr. Cyclone Club memberships for your children. We were told by the athletic dept. that the hillsides would only be open to families who have purchased those memberships.

I know Arrowhead Stadium built a new pressbox with things underneath, but it doesn't look pretty underneath and its cobbled together. I'm sure Jamie would prefer waiting 20 years and demolishing the concessions that were built in 2007.

Looks cool on the inside tho:

Cal's new "floating" pressbox was also built with similar design constraints:

Rural East Texas is like driving through nearly any small town in Iowa. Rural America is in decline; not just rural TX.
