The latest renderings don't have the Daktronic Ribbon Boards like the other renderings. Hope they just forgot them on the animation, because those really improve the energy within the stadium.

I'll be very disappointed if they were dropped, those are a big part of the total package.

think Sukup said "put my name on every possible angle" ?

That does seem a bit odd, doesn't it?

Reiman puts down a fat check to get the whole thing rolling, but out of nowhere Sukup puts in a donation and their name is splattered about everywhere, while the only place I see Reiman is on the wall out on the plaza. Not that I begrudge the Sukup family - you lay out that money - you deserve it. But doesn't seem quite right.

Couple do, couple don't. The "Endzone club seats looking north" still has them. The newer "Sukup" variety don't. The "south endzone looking SW" with the washed out sun glare is a bit much....

Can't find anything on the Jacktricestadium.com website about the ribbon board. It's been really altered since last week with all the Sukup stuff, and I'm not sure there was much about the ribbon board even before that.

But the Daktronics press release from just about a month ago still talks about it. Kind of late in the game, and must be a recent change IF they cut it

Thanks for posting. Cool to see some shots from the new upper deck.

So after this is done.. we can now walk from one side to the other.. without exiting... as I understand it...
It looks like from the renderings that food and drink on the upper level.. and the lower level.....with lots of standing and eating at tables.....
My question is.....
Are both levels going to be open to all people.. or is one of them exclusive to the end zone high dollar seats?

The lower bowl will be made of aluminum bleachers for noise purposes... hmmmm.

As long as it doesn't look cheap, I like that noise was considered in the architecture.

Surprised that the lower level will be aluminum. Just assumed it would also be concrete.

So, does the noise benefit just come from the banging? Or some sort of reflective echo effect?

I believe the entire inside is exclusively club - as you can access the club seating from there. That, and all the signage says Sukup endzone club.

You've always been able to get from one side to the other without exiting, at least around the south.

Iowa State is currently selling advertising opportunities for a ribbon board.

ok.. thanks.. we sit at the north end.. and really never go around to the south.... someone once told me you had to exit to get over to the other side... so I never went around...

I thought they would make one of the floors exclusive... probably with the beer taps... and make the other one for general public food sales... just to get the money flowing for food and drink sales...

They may...

But it appears that there are doors to and from the club seating for both floors and open stairs between the floors.

I'd think that would be pretty difficult to monitor access in and out.
