JTS construction webcam?

Finally seeing the steel being put into place coming from the existing structure is very exciting.

Quick question? It looks like the steel structure from this angle goes well behind the scoreboard at least to me. I'm assuming by the time everything is put into place the seats will all be in front of the scoreboard. Will there be a couple of spots in the corners that will be tough to see the goal line from the opposite corner?

I think they're roughly even. And even if the seats are a bit behind the scoreboard, field is out far enough I have to think the angles will allow a full view

I think there are some slightly bad sightlines in the lower sections of 25, O, N, & 17.

End zone suites are an interesting concept, I must say. Anyway, you're still way ahead of us.

Is there going to be a slight gap in the corners between the new structure and the existing bleachers? It's hard to tell for sure from the renderings. I admire your guys' stadium by the way. Love the way it has evolved over the years. Skeletor has constructed a splendid castle there.

Quick answer is no gap - they're linked. Here's the master plan.

At least based on the virtual seating thing they put out, the wall will still be there with benches that come up to either side of it (just like the one side is now). Although it did look like it was lower so its possible they are taking some off of it because it doesn't have a safety purpose anymore.

Good armrest.

I drove by yesterday on the south side...really starting to get a good visual as the east upper deck is connected...looking much more big time.

The most impressive view by far of the new endzone progress is from the south exterior. Due to the elevation differences, that's when you really get an appreciation for the scale, especially now with the balcony level steel going up. I drive by it after work and almost hit the curb rounding the corner on University every day. JTS will be infinitely more imposing, inside and out, than most of us can probably imagine.

Looks like a lot of activity pouring footings for the end zone seats, a few rows of the upper deck concrete are set, and lots of steel framing activity in the club and scoreboard.

It is fun watching two web cams. K-State has one aimed at the North end zone project and ISU has one aimed at the South end zone project. It looks like a mad race to the finish. Let's just hope they are both completed by the opening game of the season.
