Tweeted early that ISU fans are showing some love. USF fans seem to be following rapidly.

If you choose to follow or tweet him, please think about what you are saying and how you represent ISU. Don't embarrass us!

The way fans have access to recruits these days they need to rewrite some of the recruit rules; seems like an easy way to have recruiting violations.

I agree. But it's the NCAA so they will wait until they get a complaint about someone at a lesser school violating rules and do something about it to set a precedent instead of rewriting the rules. By lesser school I mean us.

The NCAA is screwed on this one. First off there is no way they can follow that many recruits. Second, Every Schools fans do it. No way to stop them. Third, They have to prove that some is a fan and booster of the recruit. Otherwise I could create fake accounts and pretend to be a Hawk fan and convince him Ohio State is getting put on probation. NCAA is screwed on this one. THey tried to stop it a few years ago at Ohio State. Then relized there was nothing they could do.

It's becoming a complete mess. Yet another reason I pay little attention to recruiting.

Don't a lot of pre-med students start in biology at ISU?

Some take Biology, my wife did Zoology…..the difference….Biology is about plants and organisms and Zoology is about living systems more similar to humans. You need 3 things to get into med school, the appropriate curriculum of science classes (which ISU and many other schools offer), a solid MCAT score, and the desire to read, and read, and read, and read, then read some more then be tested on it. My wife graduated then went to med school at Iowa and had several folks in her class that didn’t even have a degree in a science related field. They had, however, taken the appropriate classes to qualify for med-school.

By the way, my wife is a CLONE all the way

Pre-med. the major acadmeic disadvantage for ISU is the lack of a medical school, like USF. Although everything else about our academics is quite a bit better.

Why? ISU offers pre-med. Do pre-meds at UI have lots of access to the hospital? Are the profs all physicians at the hospital?

Typically it is easier to enter into a med program form that universities undergraduate system. They usually save slots. And I am not the one who said it. Josh Grady said that was an attractive feature.

I would think it was easy to go from ISU over to IC for med school if you get the required grades.

This is what happen at CU for law school: if you get a Creighton undergraduate degree for big bucks, then you get into their third tier law school automatically.

Oh, I didn't know this.

I hope someone informs Josh that an outstanding GPA at ISU + a stellar MCAT score + being a former D1 athlete = PICK YOUR MED SCHOOL.

So creepy that people follow high school recruits on twitter and fbook... Its one thing if they are actually athletes here, but even then...

Kind of the point of Twitter is following people.... I mainly follow our players, tech news people, a few celebrities, and friends. It's nice to know what recruits are saying also.

I do agree... If they have a public account i like to see their thoughts on visits though ( I wont friend request a person.) It's seems to be better than the standard interview you get on the recruiting sites. Grady did mention he thought it was colder at Wake than it was for his visit to Ames. He came up on a cold weekend.

To me Friend request on FB is way different than following on Twitter.
