Jon Millers "superbowl thread:" Jon's Scared.

I also love his whole line of reasoning that "sacks" are a dying statistic in football, so don't worry that the Hawkeye defense hasn't gotten any this year. That one just killed me.
Hoks bring the pressure less than us,

But over the past 10-15 years, as ISU has become decent, I don't think the superbowl thing applies anymore. Yes they want to win, but so does every team for every game. Iowa wants to win too. It probably means more to the fans, since there's so much workplace and family connections and rivalries. At this point I am just tired of hearing about it, its just an old recycled story. Tell me about this years players and matchups. Superbowl is just lazy.

Very true on this. Hell, i know a lot of people enjoy the game, and obviously its a big statewide draw, but i wouldnt even mind not playing it every year and i know a good number of cyclone fans that feel this way, especially with our 9 game conference schedule not offering much opportunity to have variety in our schedules.

Here is another fantastic read
HuddlePass | Hawks vs. Clowns

Do these guys think that since they think ISU cares about the game more then it must be true? This bizarre feeling towards ISU is fascinating to me. Former players saying "well we lost because they cared more". Ummm so that means you are just a loser then right? And you freely admit it? Very strange strange reasoning from the Hawks.

No, and a miracle you even got that.

Loved it. It's like watching Baghdad Bob assure the press that there are no Americans in Baghdad as the US Army is driving past the building he's talking in. Pure unadulterated denial of reality.

Miller is predicting and ISU win, so of course he is starting the excuse machine a tad early this year. That, or a futile attempt to draw the CF faithful to his AWESOME board.

I agree with the poster over there that says that Miller's post is why people hate hawkeye fans. I'll admit I probably want to win this win more then most other games, but it has more to with wanting to shut Iowa fans up than because it's a rivalry game.

How do people know that not many people go to hawkeyenation?
You ever been on that site? There are seriously about 20 active posters. Jon brags up his "unique visitors" on his linkedin (which btw is good for a laugh) but they are still low and I was in digital advertising long enough to know that you can divide that number a few times to get actual.

Why in the f would guys from Texas and Florida care that much about the CyHawk game? Not even a third of our players are from Iowa and grew up around the game. This game is driven by the fans from the state of Iowa.
