He's calling in 'sick and tired', and I can't blame him.
When I was a kid my dad called in sick, they asked what he had. Told them Polio. When he showed up the following day he said it was just the 24 hour kind.

Is it me or are just becoming a little jaded in the fan base department. For most of my life we have sucked at football, now we have a coach that has turned the program around. We are in every game, no longer allowing the OU's and UT's of the world to name the score on us. And people are complaining. Yes, I get it, this past football season was disappointing. The basketball season has not started off well to say the least. But my God people. How about a little sense of who we are here.
We could have the shrills that are announcing the Iowa games, a drunk and clueless Dolf doing football, and Dolf in BB when he never tells the score.
Sometimes things don't go as planned, I get that, we all want to win the conference, but unless we have an huge infusion of talent or money, we are not doing bad for ISU.

Does anyone else get even just a little annoyed that JW doesn't say the score very often in basketball? If I'm tuning in while driving or something and just want to know the score it seems like it takes a long time to hear it between possessions.
Something I noticed more I think when CW (I think?) was doing the Thanksgiving tourney and updated the score very often.
John is fine. Will be back for Kansas. They called into the bullpen last minute yesterday and hopefully the new guy doesn't blow the save. He probably will.
Are people actually complaining about JW on here? Wut?
JW and Eric are great at both football and basketball.... we should consider ourselves lucky. Have you ever had to listen to Dolph and Ed before? Now that is some horrible announcing right there. JW and Eric are great.
Some of us don’t have enough time every day to click on all the threads—we just pop into those we have interest in.And people care too damn lazy click on the thread and find out? I've never understood how hard that is.

Or changes his username...This is funny coming from the guy that name calls and wants to fight people.

Thanks for the response, but no, it doesn't answer my question. If you don't have time to click on a thread and read the first post, then how do you have time to be on here in the first place? You have over 16,000 posts, I have over 500. It's not because I don't want to have that many, but because I don't have the time to, yet, I don't see a problem with starting a thread with someone's name, nor do I have a problem clicking on a thread when someone else does if I really want to find out what's up. Just a difference of opinion, I guess. Some of us don’t have enough time every day to click on all the threads—we just pop into those we have interest in.
That help?
I know some people have difficulty realizing that not everyone’s lives have the same circumstances as their own. I see it on Facebook and other social media all the time. Just a simple underlying assumption that often isn’t true.
