Michael Phelps won American swimmer of the year 4x in a row on two different occasions (8x in 9 yrs)

Regardless, I think ISU’s recent history winning this award is pretty darn good.
And just my observation - individuals might not be so recognized on “big name” schools. Only so many individual awards to go around.
