Still can't wrap my mind around how a kid would prefer to play in Carver over Hilton. The atmosphere isn't even close.
Because living in Iowa City vs. Ames isn't even close. Not to mention the quality of women.

You could say the same about playing football in Jack Trice....Still can't wrap my mind around how a kid would prefer to play in Carver over Hilton. The atmosphere isn't even close.

Jack Trice had a 52K attendance last year for a team which got a total of five wins in the last two years, even without a free hot dog or gas promotion. I don't think that's comparable to Carver.

Wah? This is Iowa. Flannel shirts up your chances at landing some skrit by at least 40%. I'm talking hot, Keith Urban fan type skrit.
I think it's the combination of flannel, belt buckel, and cowboy boots. And the over abundance of it all in Ames.
Once again the usual misconception that Iowa City is some sort of urban metropolis compared to Ames. Guess what? To people in real big cities Ames and Iowa City might as well be the same cornfield. And no, you're not Chicago just because a lot of your students come from there. They needed somewhere to attend school when all their state schools turned them down.I think it's the combination of flannel, belt buckel, and cowboy boots. And the over abundance of it all in Ames.
