Jevohn Miller

So, does that mean that A.J. and Jeremiah will be playing together in the nickel (with Deon at nickel), with Jevohn only coming in when A.J. slides outside, and Jeremiah plays the middle in the 4-3?

If Knott is on the sidelines during the games and giving Miller pointers, it will be a big help. Keep in mind, he's been practicing with and watching them for a while now -- that's not game experience, but hopefully all of those things will help him when he's on the field in this tough part of the schedule.

That's how I understand it. It'll be interesting to see what Wally does, but based on how JG has played this year and what Rhoads said that would be my best guess.

And what Rhoads had to say at his presser may have intentionally been vague or a bit misleading. The Sooner offense is potent enough without telling them what to expect come Saturday.

The guys will step up and give their best for the team, whether Miller or George or ... Wally will get them ready and they'll get it done. Go State!

Its Miller Time!!! You will do fine young man, you have one of the best teammates to help you on the sidelines and playing out there with you AJK baby!! George has done an absolute great job as well!!

CPR said that Wally will decide by tomorrow when Miller will play and when George and Broomfield will play.

He said Miller can play Knott's and George's position and AJK can play all 3 positions so there are options. Not to mention that he said Morton and Miller have both been splitting reps behind Knott and in place of Knott when he didn't go in practice. My guess is George(MLB) Klein (OLB) Broomfield (hybrid) in nickel, George (MLB) Miller (OLB) Klein (OLB) in 4-3. I'm terrible with our OLB terminology so forgive me for just saying OLB.

I think that Klein and George will see most of the PT, but it will be interesting to see who plays Knott's spot. If it's Klein, that would mean he's seen time at all 3 LB spots this year, which isn't an easy task, and I'm not sure George has played anything but MLB.

Nevermind, looks like Rhoadhoused answered my questions above. Looks like it would be Klein moving to WLB when in the nickel.

For those of you questioning how Jevohn will fit into this defense, go back and watch the kick off coverage of the last few games and watch what happens when he is doubled and when he is not. There are a lot more tackles made inside the 30 when they leave only one guy blocking him. Not saying this translates directly to defense but the kid is fast, physical, and not afraid of the speed at this level. It will be interesting to see how they use him.
