Jeremy, what do you even do?

Sorry for being defensive on this topic, it's just a topic that comes up every once in a while after a thread gets started on CycloneReport about them having a similar story up at a similar time. I don't know why people feel the need to try and bash another site unless it's to make up for something their lacking. I don't go around complaining every time I have a story up and a little while later there is one up over there very similar in nature. It's news about ISU, there is only so much to report on and often times those stories are going to be similar because they're covering the same events.

As far as recruiting coverage goes, if that is what you're looking for, I would suggest going to one of those sites because I don't have time to devote to always being up-to-date on posting who is being looked at. I will post verbals and visits, but my career and money isn't made only covering recruiting so they will be better at that. I would certainly expect that considering their days are filled with nothing but recruiting and I try to stick to the overall picture or stories that will matter more in the end. I don't have time to get info and follow-up about every possible recruit, I would rather talk about the ones we get or will most likely be getting.

It's this type of thing that sometimes makes me question if all of the work is really worth it in the end. The moderators and I work our butts off on this site and a few people that get bored elsewhere stop by and think its funny talking about something as serious and personally offensive as this.

Anyways, back to the topics at hand.

Jeremy - This is a great site and I appreciate all the effort that goes into it. Whatever you do, don't ever give this up. I have more discussions every day with other Cyclone fans about what we've read on here. It's been one of the best ways I've seen to strengthen the bond of our base.

On another note, Jeremy probably gets tired of asking for donations. It took me several months, but I finally clicked the donate button today. If you stop to think about how much each of you gets from this site, I encourage you to do the same. Jeremy and the moderators are doing a great job, but let's face it, even a "free" site costs money. So thanks again for the efforts and GO STATE!

P.S. Nice mis-direction with the "IT" job comment.:wink0st:

You and your moderator's are doing an awesome job. We appreciate all that you can give us. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Go Cyclones!

I wish I could leave more positive rep for some of the people on here, for sticking up for Jeremy.

You know, Jeremy used to pull the heads off of my Barbies, and I never said some of the things to him that I hear on here. He has made everyone welcome here - for free - and he gets bashed for it. If you don't like what he says, you know where the little X on your browser is. :growl5cj:

Well I am a little dissappointed at how this thread got off track. Great job for those who are sticking up for Jeremy, and shame on you for those who are doing the bashing.

Be lucky (even if the info is 20 min. after it was reported on another site) that we get updates FOR FREE, concerning our cyclone athlectics. I would much rather spend a little cash and donate to this site then spend the gobs of money on the others to just find out the same info 10-20 min earlier. This site is a great example of the good things people can do around here without having to get something in return.

i agree with several of the previous posters...thank you for this awesome, free site. i, too, encourage you to donate to the site if you can. not only for the time and effort it takes to update and maintain the site, but also for keeping it free from ads.

thanks to jeremy, the moderators, and all the fun, positive cyclone fans that make this site fun and a place that i want to check out every day!

I do have a 50 hr a week job in the IT industry for an Insurance broker in DSM. I am on the computer all day and with my email as well so I always have access to the site and my sources. It's a passion for me and nobody around here minds because I always do more work than the others and make time for the site when I can. I go in streaks because of meetings, etc.

Like I said before, I am sorry i even started this thread and it got so off topic. I really appreciate the effort you put into this and enjoy all the articles that you post.

My only intentions were more of a rhetorical question, than an actual one. You really do put in a lot of time to this site and it shows. Your boss has got to be mighty lucky to have you, because if you still put in more time than the others at your job, and still put in the time on this site, WOW you need a vacation.

Keep it up, and i will even make sure my comments all stay positive, because who needs negativity in the world. Thats what marriage is for!:wink0st:
