Just got back from eating, here is my response to you're fair and honest question. By the way, maybe you should post my reply on the other site that is bashing me about this since even the admin over there is bashing me for offering information that I clearly describe as being from sources and not from God. I don't pretend to know what that admin's problem is with me, I do the same type of thing he does only with more substance typically. FWIW
Here are actual pieces of the Harbaugh story that you refer to, and this is from the actual first draft that was posted, not the later clarified and revised edition mind you...
"My formal announcement below is what I personally feel will happen based on the latest news from sources..."
"While we all know that things change rapidly and that there could be candidate “x” that we don’t know about..."
"Nothing is set in stone by any means..."
I think those are pretty clear disclaimers stating this is not the only path that could be taken. I am sorry that a lot of people on the other sites can't read a whole article and are only interested in the actual names and possible outcomes and turning that around for whatever purpose they're looking for. To me that is ignorance on the end of the reader, not the writer. I am the first to admit I get a little over wordy with my articles and get excited like any fan based on what sources say, but I very clearly explain that if you want only the 100% correct facts, read it in the Rag after words, not on a message board. I apologize if you pay money elsewhere for inside information and only get an admin that is too stuck on bashing me and my site to try and keep some of his member-base. He makes money off of you from ads as well, don't see any here. I can give you a refund but don't be expecting much
While I understand you questioning me because I posted something as being possible and it didn't happen, did you ever think that the reason you don't question your own site's administrator is because they don't have a lot of the sources and only post a fraction of the information, correct in the end or not? I could post one tidbit and always be right but that's not why I have the most active message board regarding ISU. People want information, official or not, and that's what I try to do. I'm not always going to be right, I wouldn't be running a website if I was that good at reading the future.
ABOUT JETER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD:
You and your cronies on the other site always bring up Jeter and the MBB story. Let me clarify that again for you...
I broke the story about Morgan being fired about 8 hours before anybody else, period. I then reported that Jeter was the leading candidate and would be offered the job. THAT WAS FACT. He was getting an offer the next day but McDermott called Pollard and wanted to meet, he wanted the job. Pollard then changed course, but it was fact and it was correct when reported even when I said there was room for change. I then was the first to report McDermott would be hired and I've heard that he read it here before knowing from ISU.
So the lesson is, I could be safe and never report anything and please everybody. I instead prefer to be a little thing called informative and entertaining. Choice is a great thing, it's something that you have as well. I don't care what your preference is on websites, just don't blame me for not knowing the future.
Thanks for stopping by and don't worry, I wouldn't ban you for asking an honest question. I'm not afraid of criticism of being wrong, I just get tired of people not wanting to read the responses. So my final comment is simple, if you don't like my site or don't find it valuable, why not click the little x in the top right corner of your browser? It will solve all of your problems and keep you safe from all the possibilities facing you in the future.
IF you are being sincere and actually like the site and aren't one of them bashing me over there, I apologize for being rude and sarcastic above, I just get tired of defending my personal posts to people that think Jamie Pollard is somehow telling me everything to post. You may know that I'm actually a source for a lot of the traditional media people in the state that you know very well so I do have a lot of information that doesn't get posted, FWIW.
NOTE: There will be no further references to the "other" site because I try to stay above what is constantly being thrown about over there. This is a message board about ISU. Here we actually try to talk about that subject and not bash other websites that are trying to help get info out about a subject we all love. I somewhat criticized them above but it's in defense of the pages and pages of posts over there that are nothing but vulgar insults and name-calling about fellow Cyclones, myself included.
