Jeff Horner at ISU?

I really dont care if he could coach or not....******* off the hawk fans would make it well worth it.:yes:

There's only one big thing wrong with this, otherwise I agree, but graduate assistants CAN'T RECRUIT.

The purpose of a GA is to get your masters degree first while getting your feet wet in the coaching world second. That is why GA's don't have a lot of responsibilities and why the NCAA won't allow them to recruit.
 
GA's don't actively recruit, but they certainly have a lot of interaction with the recruits.

It's a shame... this rumor was the closest Horner will ever be to greatness. Well.... unless he gets teabagged by a Cyclone that is. :biglaugh::biglaugh:
 
With Iowa recruits the fact that Horner is on staff would help recruiting, even if he isn't actively out there recruiting the kids. I'm sure when they make their visits they would meet and interact with Horner.
 
Fred has not contacted Horner and Horner hasn't contacted ISU. No truth at all to the rumor.

I can see this being false--fine, but why would he be furious?

AAAHH, I CAN'T BELIEVE MY NAME IS OUT THERE FOR A JOB!! THAT IS RIDICULOUS. CAN'T A GUY GO A DAY IN THIS COUNTRY WITHOUT HIS NAME BEING FLOATED OUT THERE FOR A JOB?

Based on my association with CY ST8T I can tell you that his source is very credible. Horner is furious because as you can imagine.... He has idiot hawk fans calling, texting, and emailing him to berate him for even allegedly considering taking a GA spot with the Iowa State program. Can you imagine the bombs those ruh-tards are dropping on him? Don't give Iowa fans more credit then they deserve.... they are cannibalizing one of their own based on a rumor with no credibility. :biglaugh:

There is a rumor going around that Dan McCarney was not only from Iowa City, but also played football for the Hawks!!!!:wideeyed:
 
When I first scanned this thread, I kind of got excited--because I thought it said Jeff Hornacek. Then I had to figure out who the hell Jeff Horner is. Excitement now gone.
