That isn't what I said. Give that article a read if you aren't just here to troll and talk smack. Otherwise, there's really no merit in any of the criticism.
You said you don’t care about opinions from people online; CF posters are all online. If, that wasn’t your point, then what is it? Looks like you may be just looking for clicks.

Like I said, for those interested in acting in good faith. It's easy to ****-talk and be a douchebag online, I promise you I do not give a **** about your opinions.
Big Serious Journalist signs up for an account on CycloneFanatic to debate ISU fans because someone made a mean comment about his little publication. The irony of you saying you don’t care about our opinions is absolute comedy.

I saw that the Informer was getting some inbound links from this forum again and couldn't stop myself from taking a look. As the site's editor, I can assure you that you aren't accurately describing what went into the reporting and editing of this particular story, but I'm also well aware of how some of you continue to mischaracterize the Carson King situation at the Register — in a manner that, frankly, borders on obsession sometimes. I'll spare myself the trouble of engaging with you on that as well as a couple of the other ill-informed comments on this thread, aside from saying that Aaron is doing just fine and contributed to the Informer in the recent past, as he was also freelancing for several prominent national publications with readership in the hundreds of thousands or millions, because he believes in the site's purpose.

For those of you who have an interest in engaging in good faith, I'd encourage you to read the article linked below for a sense of how Paul Parizek operates, and as an example that's actually related to the comment that led to the comment I've quoted above. It's a deeply researched and important investigative story that took us months to put together and is one of the best examples on the site of why I launched it five years ago.

Aaron Colvin railroaded a kid raising money (millions) for a children's hospital. He's despicable scum. He's as un-iowan as a human being can possibly be. You defending him is pathetic. You employing him is disgusting. You being here is sad.

I remember when I was young.

And Aaron had much much more offensive social media posts himself....not just a silly quote of a show from years ago.

If you don’t care about anyone’s opinions, why exactly are you here?

Railroaded?

He was publishing an overwhelmingly positive piece, was asked by his editors to do a routine background search on him, and towards the end of that overwhelmingly positive piece, included a bit about what was in that background.

What's disgusting is that you spread ill-informed drivel like this when you clearly never read the piece, you just joined the rage of people who hated the register well before anyone knew who Carson King was.
