Every time this gets posted here it ruins my day. That "journalist" took advantage of a teenager who has had a tough time dealing with his parents divorce. I can't personally vouch for the guys character but I can assure you from someone related to the situation the iowainformer is trash.

They were discussing and not defending. Travis Justice said he wasn't buying Iowa's story and that there has to be more to it. I was just as surprised as everyone else.

Was this around early 80’s? There was a boxer Brian Pantzlaff (spelling) that looked like a red headed farm boy wearing bib overalls. But when he got into the ring, that wasn’t some hick from French Lick. He was from Bettendorf.

1989. It was up in St Cloud, Minnesota. This kid knew what he was doing, had to have some boxing experience at some level. The tailback was a compact 210, but the tall kid was nailing him with cross punches, side stepping his bull rushes, and punching off the side step. It was awesome, cause again, he did not look like a guy that could fight at all and he just annihilated the football player.

Browsing some Iowa boards this event definitely seems to have tipped the scales toward a majority not wanting him back. Seemed about 50/50 before.

I don't think he's as talented as Jake Sullivan, but statistically that's probably the best comp for our program. Just imagine if by some stroke of luck Sullivan was granted a 5th/6th/7th season and wanted to play it at ISU, yet our fans didn't want him there. JoBo is pretty clearly a toxic individual.

I honestly don't know single hok fan that wanted him to come back.
