Just saw an interview of him on PTI. I forget every year about just how negative the guy is. He seems to just hate everything about NCAA basketball that he covers.

Yeah, I can't stand Bilas at all. Very informative I guess, but extremely arrogant and negative like you say.
He was on Golic this morning and basically said the whole KU investigation is a big nothingburger... not because it isn't true.... but more because it's just how things are these days and everyone needs to get over it.
I appreciate the fact that Jay isn't just a guy that goes with the flow. He's willing to put himself out there and question how things are done. There's alot of people in the sports world that have to hold their tongue due to what the higher ups want to have expressed, OR they simply aren't as intelligent and forthright that Bilas is, and I don't always agree with his opinions, but definitely respect them.
I would completely agree with how you perceive him and what he told Golic, and I'm okay with hearing what's probably the truth, UNFORTUNATELY.
Prior to the Duke game, Bilas said that the NCAA is going to have to prove their case against Kansas (tone being that he doesn't really know if KU is dirty or not). The more he continues to deny this cancer in college basketball the more credibility he loses.
I don't mind Bilas and like his commentary... but he is an elitist who slobbers over blueblood programs. Gets old

He basically went with 'nothing in the courts yet? Play on!'.
I like Bilas as a announcer, but he also knows that Kansas and the rest of the schools will lawyer up, deny everything, and tell the NCAA "Prove it!". He knows that when push comes to shove the NCAA will back down against the blue blood schools and hit them with a couple of tit tat rules violations they broke and the whole thing will go away.
