has anyone noticed that he has no longer listed as committed to West Virginia, do we have a chance to get him? On scout it says he visited us and it is down to us, west virginia, and central michigan. And on rivals it us, c. michigan, nc state, and south florida. To get him would give us a lot of talented young running backs. anyone have info on this situation?

no.. different name.. and i dont think he would come here and i dont know if we really need another rb.. use the scholly for somthing else.. but thats my opinion

My guess is that with Bass, A-rob, and Bo, we are not recruiting him as a running back. At 5' 11", 170, could be a corner or safety prospect.

Bass is a senior this year. So really all we have back will be ARob (a junior) and Bo (who will be a sophomore). I see nothing wrong with getting another RB. Who knows if Schwartz will stick with RB or go to FB.

A couple of folks on the WVU board said there was some discussion as to whether he was coming in as a RB or as a DB.

I heard Schwartz was recruited to be a RB, FB combination. So I would look for him to play some tailback sometime.

His videos are very impressive.

He lacks top-end "breakaway" speed, but he has great vision and is VERY elusive between the tackles. It looks like he does a great job catching the ball, as well.

I think he would be a GREAT addition to our team.

"Great"? I'd rather wait for the guys who actually have the top end, breakaway speed. Just my opinion.

And Jason has been injuried his whole time here. The same could happen with any of our running backs. When are we so talent rich that we can turn down a good RB because of top end speed. If he is a threat to break 15 yard runs I don't care if he gets caught from behind after 30 yards.

Probably will be an issue of him likely being able to be the man at CMU and competing with ARob, Bo, and Schwartz here. Of course, I think he's best off coming to the Big 12, giving it a shot at RB, but then switching to D-back if it doesn't look like he'll get much PT. He was catching a lot of passes though it seemed, seems like he'd be a great slot guy with JJ Moses-type potential.
