Jacob Park to transfer

I'm not a huge Bilas fan and he's become pretty exhausting with his attack on amateurism. If you want to "exploit" amateurism, this probably wasn't the case that he should have picked up and ran with. I don't give a **** if a kid is 21 or 9, there are repercussions for your decisions. If you want kids to be paid then it's time for college kids to put their big boy pants on and face the music when they make a poor decision. I just don't understand why Bilas always give the student athlete a free pass.

I assumed that the letter was pretty boilerplate stuff. And if I'm wrong then someone please correct me, but isn't the point moot if he graduates next semester? I was under the impression that as a grad transfer he's free to go wherever, no restrictions.

I believe this is correct.

It did not help matters that the last time we saw Park in action was against Texas where our defense actually kept us in the game, but he had a complete meltdown with the picks he threw.

Being happy with the way Kempt and Noland played is not the same as bashing Park. We had no idea what was going on with him, so most of the time, unless it was a thread specifically about Park, we didn't discuss him.

I honestly think the biggest issue he had with the fans is that we were happy with the way Kempt and Noland played and we weren't begging him to come back and save us.

I believe you are correct with the info above. And yes, smokin' the weed because of perceived 'extra pressures' of being a father, and starting QB at ISU SHOULD NOT ALLOW HIM to have exceptions to the rules as laid out by Matt Campbell.

HOWEVER, I often do see 'Cyclone fans' become negative about those who may support ISU way too early.

Coaches from the following schools recently followed Jacob on twitter
  • Rice
  • Murray State
  • Central Oklahoma
  • Henderson State
  • Georgia State
I doubt Park ends up at a D2 school but a bad G5 like Rice or Georgia State seems about where i think he’ll end up. He’s too talented for someone not to take a shot on him but don’t think he’ll be at a P5 school next fall.

UT Chattanooga and Duquesne coaches have followed Jacob.

A FCS program or bad G5 program is where i see Park ending up.

More schools I didn't know that had football programs.
UTC, I've obviously heard of their wrestling and Duquesne has basketball.

I'm kind of surprised that someone like Lane Kiffin at FIU hasn't reached out to him.

He hasn’t beaten any women. Muffin isn’t interested.

He’s already got a big 12 cast off. Chris Robison from OU sat out this year but will be eligible this fall.

He's barred from transferring there.

I don't know if we ever sorted this out and I suppose it doesn't matter much since he wouldn't go there anyway, but I thought that once he graduates ISU can no longer place any restrictions on him as a grad transfer.

Really? I thought only Big12

I think it was all big 12 and anyone we played the next couple of years.

Why they aren't on the schedule? We play SD St in 2018.
The actual letter was published. Iowa, UNI, Drake, Big XII and anyone on a future schedule.

Right, but I could have sworn I heard that the letter was really just a formality or courtesy that allowed for Park to have contact with other programs right away, but once he graduates this spring then no such restrictions can be enforced. But I don't know for sure...I could be wrong.

Unsure about that. I Googled whether schools could restrict transfers after graduation and didn't find the answer.
