Jacob Park to transfer

I get he had his struggles and we all got on him after that Texas game but that’s because we all knew what this team would be and what he could mean to this team....

Then he makes his own selfish dumb off the field mistake and we all become supportive of that and hope he figures it out to get back to the team and he comes out and says that....??

Nah man get outta here with that BS.

The team proved it didn’t need him to succeed and he becomes instantly bitter and turns on the fan base. And worst of all turn on Campbell??

Woof.
Its comments like this that give him fuel to say he wasn't supported and fans turned on him. Your statement would have been fine without making assumptions about the nature of his problems. How do you know he made a "selfish dumb mistake"? Even if he did is it necessary to characterize it that way.

Take the high road, wish him well and move on.

Im not gonna blame him for his marijuana use. Its a harmless plant and like 400 miles away its completely legal. Id judge him more if was something stronger like alcoholism or meth. Still broke team rules and had to face the consequences. Maybe he didnt like getting caught and suspended a game? I dont know I think he cracked under pressure and possibly was doing stronger stuff.

From conversations I’ve had with others, this is the exact same attitude he had with players on the team. Never was his fault and was everyone else’s. Looks like that’s the same BS here blaming the fans and the team. No accountability or humility. Appears he still has some growing and maturing to do. Oh well.

Good luck and best wishes, hope you get things figured out, Park.

There was a side of this that I associate with someone who is exceptionally serious about winning. For instance, when asked how many games we should win, he said "all of them." No excuses. I love that answer. Of course, it has to be tempered. But I love his fire.

We certainly know Jacob did......I'm sorry, but if he's going to call the fans and coach Campbell out like that, he deserves all that comes his way.

Most everyone was supportive, and wished him well, but he sounds bitter as hell. Good luck to him wherever he goes, we will be much better without him.

Drugs is a health issue.

I wasn't aware of any of that. He had his meltdown vs. Texas, CMC bodychecked him on the sideline, and he head a health issue that kept him out the rest of the season. Have to be respectful of a health/medical issue affecting a kid keeping them from the field, I had no idea it was a drug thing.

Its too bad he couldn't wait until after the bowl game. This is an unnecessary distraction. Although it seems that the team has probably already moved on.

I suspect that Coach left the door open for him, but he didn't/couldn't/wouldn't do what was required.

Dont settle for any less than you see in the mirror. Kid has no accountability and to say the fans turned on you is a ***** move. He has a lot of growing up to do

Good luck, young man. Hope he can find a place where he can thrive, but his comments toward ISU on the way out do not indicate a good start.

Just look up Ryan Leaf. Others before you have tread treacherous paths. Don’t follow those.

There seems to be a multitude of lies in his responses, I guess whatever makes him feel better. Wish the guy nothing but the best.
