Heartbreaking news and I can only echo what others have said. One of my all time favorite Clones for how hard he played and how much fun he was to watch with that long black hair flopping all over. Prayers for the family and rest in peace with our other great Clones that have left us too soon.

This is sad. Vroman is my all time favorite Cyclone. One of the highest motors and most relentless players we've ever had. A couple of my favorite memories: The year he had the long jet black hair there would be black beads of sweet coming down his face because of his cheep hair dye. Also the time time he got hit in the face and ran by the bench on the way down the court to spit out his tooth. Tough as nails.

Came from Snow CC in Utah. It looks like we were one of his better offers. He was in the same recruiting class as Tim Barnes, Jerome Harper, and Adam Haluska.

Sad to see another former student athlete from late 90's to early 2000's (my time @ Iowa State) pass away. Haywood, Hicks, Rutland, and now Vroman. It's been really tough few years for Cyclone athletics.
My wife used to help Vroman at Financial Aid when she worked there. She still remembers Vroman (tall, long haired bball player) and how nice he was when he came in for help.

He changed a lot after his first year at ISU. He went from a skater/hippie kid to a clubber. He was really popular in his ISU days and was a lot of fun to party with.
Him and Jared Homan lived together in Vegas and got to know a lot of the really rich partiers like Bilzerian and it just took off from there. Hell, even Jared Homan is dating a Victoria's Secret model.

My freshman year was Vroman's last year in Ames. He was at parties all the time, and often the life of them, along with Homan. They never came off like arrogant jackasses and would always be playing beer pong with people and just acting like college kids.
Looks like they've been in the real life set of Entourage the past 10 years. Good for them.
