Jackson Paveletzke commits

With the current roster and news of Jeremiah Williams still being out, I'd project him as a starter next season.

Scored 22 against Texas A&M, 19 against LSU and 15 against Drake.
He had monster games against LSU and Texas A&M: was a highly efficient stat stuffer in both. Want to see how he defends, but like the shooting ability implied by the stats of those games.

Very solid team next year! Now a 6-11 dude would cover all the bases. I think it is overly optimistic to count on Jones and Ward down low.
Tre King and Biliew will probably get some situational post minutes as, as well. If we can find a proven stretch 4 who can hit 3’s, I’d be open to it. But, more than anything else, Cyclones need lots more scorers next season.

Reminder that Georges Niang, at the NBA Combine, measured 6’6.75” tall without shoes. One of the greatest NBA teams ever closed out games with 6’7” Harrison Barnes at the 4 and 6’5.75” Draymond Green at the 5.
I’m sure if there was a 6’11” dude that moved the needle (and that we could actually get), they’d be all over it, but there are already 4 guys on the roster who can play the 5, and my guess is that Ward will continue to impress after a full summer in Ames. My hope is that we’ll ask a lot less of the 5 on offense because of all the other

OK, where is the ’how are we gonna score next year’ crowd?
Never doubt TJ’s recruiting chops.
That wasn't a permanent thought from anyone. Everyone in the country knew we needed shooters/scorers after last season. It was just a matter of the staff going out, and finding them this offseason to fill that need. TJ continues to bring in talent.

Apparently an amazing shooter was going to be on the roster last season before the NBA called.

Love that the staff is addressing roster needs.

This is an amazing recruit to land. Welcome Jackson!
