I read an article somewhat recently about this, but basically everybody on the cast had some serious substance issues at one point including Knoxville. They also had some painkiller stuff for a bit for obvious reasons. I never thought Bam was funny but I hope the guy gets it figured out.

Ryan was his best friend. He pretty much went off the deep end after that and they haven't been able to get him back.

He had issues way before that. He’s not the only person who has lost a friend. He’s got serious maturity issues.

Is that it? I figured it was something harder. Nevertheless, I think the crew has had a drug-free policy on set since the third installment. You can clearly see High Life bottles everywhere in the 2nd movie.

I wasn't disputing the severity of alcoholism. I was just wondering if it was more than that.

The best thing to come from Jackass was the show Wildboyz. That was great television, funny as hell, and even semi-educational. Made Manny a wildlife star for awhile too. Stevo-O and Pontius are great.
