Jack Trice throw backs

I like the design...always liked the design (although, I don't understand the gold on the back, white on the front, numbering and lettering scheme. It needs some sort of outline). What I don't like is the apparent quality of the fabric and the fit...makes it a little frumpy. I'm kind of glad these are going up against Iowa now.

Is this a real post?

I like 'em. I don't have any strong feelings about our regular uniforms one way or the other (and that is kind of a problem all on its own) but these look good.

I love them except for the big white numbers on the front.

Per the NCAA - not sure they could have done much different....

  1. Numerals. Clearly visible, permanent Arabic numerals on one jersey atleast 8 and 10 inches in height front and back, respectively, of a color(s)in distinct contrast with the jersey. All players of a team shall have thesame color and style numbers front and back. The individual bars mustbe approximately 1-1/2 inches wide. Numbers on any part of the uniformshall correspond with the mandatory front and back jersey numbers.

Now it's time for cool promotions like "1920s prices" on concessions.....that'd be fun.

But not 1920s policies, such as accommodations for Jack Trice on road games.

Definitely should be wearing those gold pants for every home game. Look so much better than the mustard yellow we currently use.

I always thought that Nike would not allow the original Jack Trice uniforms because of the three prominent stripes on the front. If we were an Adidas school we may have had the original version as our regular uniforms? Nike found a way around this by forcing us to go with 5 stripes. A good compromise I guess since there was no way they would allow three stripes.

Be careful what you wish for... that Prohibition Era thing might put a damper on tailgating.

Most tailgates already seem to have a bootleg feel to them!
