So do you think it was only there for 2 years? I don't think it was there very many years, but just can't quite remember.

I'm almost certain it was just 1994.

The old set of metal bleachers were in the SEZ in 1993:

But if it was there in 1995, then wouldn't it be 1994 and 1995 - Walden's last year and Mac's first?

Mac's quote says "the year before" he arrived, which would be '94. We know there were bleachers in '93, tents in '95 and bleachers again in '96.

Sorry for the back and forth, but wasn't it there with the tents in 1995? I can't quite remember it all. Someone has to have a picture out there.

My freshman year was 95 and I'm pretty sure it was gone by then.

Remember seeing it going to games in high school though.

I could be wrong on 95 though I remember the game where the seniors for the band ran and jumped in the hot tub after halftime. My memory of that has a view from about where the student section is.

I'm starting to think everyone in Ames was just high in the mid 90s and remember crazy things that never happened. Maybe we need to revive this with the current teams play.

I just tried for about half an hour to find a photo online with no luck. Lots of sideline and action shots from 1994, but no end zone.

The videos I've been looking at from 1994 do not show any hot tubs. Was it something that was there for like one year that too the first 2 games or something? Can't imagine they'd have that out in November...

Also why when you Google image search Iowa state football Jacuzzi, is the first image Mangino?

What do I win if I post the elusive pic? This is from the senior show of the marching band in 1994 which would've been the last game.20141112_224126.jpg

This was before the tents, on the SE side of the stadium.

The band always wins.

I can only imagine if they tried to do that nowdays...

There was also a super badass yellow Cyclone Corvette and an even more badass Cyclone helmet car.

I don't recall it being a Corvette. I'm remembering some sort of yellow 80s kit car. Remember the hot tub however. May have even been there in the late 80s.

You win phone a phone like since I'm mobile.

If I remember right there were already people in the hot tub and the band just jumped in.

Probably, but the band planned on going in. We made a "tunnel" for them to March toward the hot tub where they then stripped down (to swimsuits) ;) We were watching the video and like my hubby said, he doesn't remember if there was actually room for him to get in.

This this a picture of a screen?

Yes, VCR is hooked up to the oldest TV in the house. Pic taken while video playing on TV. Video is of the marching band performances, this was the last show/game in 1994 after the seniors marched off the field.
