On the lovely mens basketball threads, anything new? I dont feel like looking through ten pages of threads to see if anything has happened to our program
 
We are waiting for break to end to see how many people are still on the bench. We have umpteen offers out there as we need bodies.
 
We successfully recruited a player and he has already transferred. Then we snagged a Turkish center but we found out he is a professional. Next we hired an assistant coach and he is going to provide a California AAU connection and do some D1 tournament scheduling.:jimlad:
 
Wayne Morgan was fired and we hired Greg mcdermott from UNI. How long have you been on vacation?
 
We won the big12 back-to-back, bad news, we haven't done much since..... again, how long was the vacation :wink:

Not much new to report:

1. Todd Lickliter couldn't find another coaching gig, so GMac took advantage of a little-used eligibility loophole and signed him as a backup point guard. Stipulation: he must red-shirt next season.

2. Due to bizarre (but minor) NCAA violations, Missouri, Colorado, Texas Tech, OU and Baylor were forced to forfeit all games this season, in effect giving ISU a 3 seed in the NIT, effective retrospectively.

3. A recruit that hasn't committed anywhere and hasn't considered ISU announced that, if he commits to ISU, he will leave after one season to play "closer to home."

4. Despite Craig Brackins' announcement that he will turn pro, Jamie Pollard held a press conference to emphasize that "Craig is our starting power forward."

5. Bill Fennelly was hired as Iowa's next men's basketball coach.

All in all, a pretty slow week.
