Well, Auburn announced Chizik as their new head coach just a little bit ago; had the pep rally and everything. I would now like to introduce myself as the newest fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide! I can't wait to watch Bama crush Auburn and their new head snake next year. Bring on the Iron Bowl!

ROLL TIDE!

One of my real good buddies is a Bama grad. He's loving every minute of this...mostly because Auburn Nation is furious. I think he's been following this story as closely as I have.

Through my travels in coaching over the last 23 years, there's one place that I've always wanted to return to and that is Auburn," Chizik said. "The tradition of the Auburn football program combined with the passionate fans and their love for Auburn are second to none. My family and I are Auburn through and through, and look forward to being part of the Auburn family and community."

It's a bit of a conflict of interest for me... most of my family is pro-Auburn, and I could never fathom myself ever rooting for the Crimson Tide. So, best I can hope is that their next game ends with Auburn winning in 6 OTs 3-0... resulting in their only win of the season.

"Until I get a better offer regardless of when that may be," he added.

I agree. I can't stand Nick Saban, but I will be rooting for him one day each year. (Which may amount to only 2 or 3 times...)

I would say that you have the RIGHT standards. But that's just me:biggrin:
Nah, by definition, having standards implies that you don't root for Iowa.

But I digress. I hope there aren't any big rivalries between Alabama and Georgia, since I have been committed to the Dawgs for a long time before today. It would be a shame to pull a Chizik and give up on my newfound allegiance with no warning whatsoever.

Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Gene Chizik, ISU's former football coach, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there in Auburn, AL with all the other slimeballs and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, fore-fleshing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-***, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey **** he is. Hallelujah. Holy ****. Where's the Tylenol?

Edit: Oh yeah, and he smells like an elephant's butt.
