It should be Lanning's team starting now

I think we have the pieces to put something together but our coaches need to pull their collective heads out of their butts. SBR should not have been in that game in the 2nd half. Good guy, but he's peaked and his peak isn't high enough. He doesn't have the accuracy or arm strength to run the offense that you need in the Big XII.

It's time for Lanning to get his shot. Warren and our receivers are good enough that Lanning won't have to be perfect. Those guys showed some serious fight even when it was starting to get away from us.

NO. If you give up over 700 yards to anybody, you won't win unless you play the absolute worst team in D-1a. Why the heck does Wally hang around to be embarrassed every Saturday?

I posted it in another thread. Now is not the time. You don't throw Lanning to the wolves TCU and BU. It would be just this staff ruining him for the next by getting him shell shocked too.

Honestly, who cares anymore? CPR's gas tank is completely rusted out on the bottom.

I'll respond the same way I did there. Competitive people want to compete against the best. Lanning should want the ball in the big game. Give it to him. Thinking our best play is to keep SBR in and lay down and take our beating is just being a *****.

Lanning SBR it doesn't matter against those guys. So why risk lannings confidence.

Lanning can't throw any worse than Richardson could he? Let the guy throw. Give him confidence. Not giving him confidence when you call every play a run play when hes in. Shoot the defense knows we're going to run when he's in. Call a frickin play action and let the kid gain confidence

Lanning made 2 throws in one quarter (out route to Dvario and corner route to Harris that he dropped) that Sam hasn't made in his career. I honestly don't see what you lose by playing him. Sams only calling card before this year was accuracy, and he's been horribly inaccurate this year, so why not go with Joel?

Agree. Just watching Lanning at end u can tell he's got far better velocity on the ball and better arm strength. He gets the ball to the wrs quicker. Why doesn't the staff see this? Not to mention with Lanning in the game our running game would be that much better and it's not to bad right now.

So why risk Lannings confidence? This is why we suck. Screw your damn confidence, get your *** in there and play the game. If you do well you will play. If not we will find someone else in there. If there is a confidence issue you shouldn't be here.

Yeah well. Time to start building for next year. Richardson won't be there. Rhoads may or may not be there. Lanning will be there.

We have a given commodity that is not working. Simple as that. I'm not one to call for the back up all the time, but if your number one can't get the job done, what other choice do you have?

Ok, I get where you are coming from. However, it won't matter if you have a d-1aa defense.
