UNI is a good team, but there is no question we are a better one. Loads more talent than UNI and we get outplayed and probably most embarassingly, got outhustled to no end...that's bad coaching my friend.
A learning experience? That is what everyone said about the NW game, and we obviously learned a lot. Our offense is TERRIBLE. If they haven't learned GMac's offense in 3.5 years, they won't learn it in time for Cal.
I am sorry, but losing to UNI at home is unacceptable. GMac is 2-8 against the Missouri Valley Conference; think about that....:no:
And THAT is why I wouldn't allow myself to get excited over "big wins" over Tennessee State and Mississippi Valley State, or even a 6-0 start.
Good bye NCAAA tournament and after we lose Brackins & Gilstrap we will be sub 500 next year, Harrison Barnes looks pretty smart after all why would he want to play for a coach that he's smarter than. Hawkeye's should get there 3rd victory when they visit Ames. GOD awful coaching got beat 3 out of 4 years by his mentor maybe Ben Jacobsen was the real reason UNI won when Gmac was at UNI.
You don't lose to a mid-major at home. The learning experience was last Saturday. And frankly, I probably will only watch the first half this weekend. Its going to be UGLY...
I cannot believe this team lost at home to UNI coming off a loss. I was critical of GM at the time of his hire and have seen NOTHING in 4 years to show that he is going to lead us out of this quagmire. ISU has a NBA first rounder on its roster and cannot beat MVC teams on its home court. The team is so mentally weak it is pathetic. Under 5 minutes, if ISU is down by 1 you can count on them losing the game. WHAT. A. JOKE!!!!!!!

Yeah, there is a lot of question that ISU is the better team. They lost to UNI. Hence, UNI is the better team. ISU may have better players, but TEAM...UNI is the better team.
Based on what, anonymous internet fan analysis?
Tournament team, lost nobody == team with A strong player and potential necomers?

I was just thinking the same thing. I was going to take a half day off of work to drive up, by 2 tickets (me and my wife) but for what? To watch us get ABSOLUTELY DOMINATED!?!?! Thanks, but I think I would rather burn $100 in my yard...it'll save me the half day....
I'm sorry, but UNI is not your typical "mid-major". They have been making incredible strides in their program the past few years. They had an incredible win streak last season and almost took out a sweet 16 Purdue team last year in tournament.
