ISU vs Tenn ST Game Thread

I think Colvin needs to understand that he doesn't have to be amazing on every play. Just play sound basketball and always be in control... like DG. This team has good enough shooters and talent that we don't need to have a highlight real pass or play on every time he touches the ball. Take what is there... minimize risk.

I am basing this off of stats... so I could be totally wrong and maybe he's dribbling the ball of his feet.

St. Louis up 75-36 over Mississippi Valley State with like 2 minutes left, so kind of a comparable score to ISU's.

They won 75-39. Now the question is this: Did St. Louis start clearing their bench with 10 minutes left in the first? I'm somehow doubting they did since it was a 7 point game at halftime.

We'll wait until the box score though. We could have won every single one of our games by WAYYYY more points if we would have left the first team in there but we chose to let guys get PT and experience instead.

Okay..box score on St. Louis...they played 11 guys total. One guy played 3 minutes, another played 9. Nobody played over 29 minutes and 6 guys played 20-29 minutes. Three others played 10-19 minutes.

Against Nebraska they played 10 guys and again the same guys who were playing tonight got similar playing time against Nebraska.

So they are a deep team probably

A concern I have is this team hasn't been tested. I want to see how they respond when they are down by a few near the end of the game. Now, if we never see that all year, great. But we won't know the mental toughness of this team until they have a challenging situation.

I really like this team. Can't wait to see Dendy in there mixing it up.

ISU will beat St. Louis by 20+. I have seen STL play and they aren't very good...they beat a bad Neb. team
