Don't mean to toot my own horn, but I called Haluska would make a 3 in the K-State game after the OSU game.:biggrin:
Terrible game by the way...exactly what I expected. Last year KSU was wayyyyy more physical than us and it spelled our doom. There was not reason to expect anything different.

Our bench played better than KSU's at the end of the game. KSU has a few outstading players that make everyone around them better. Like others said before, this ISU team still isn't physical enough and doesnt have enough depth to play at the level of KSU and KU. Some help for ISU showed up on campus this last summer and more is coming this summer. I say forget getting a guard, this team needs a physical player down low. Appleton wants to visit Kentucky again so dont get your hope up on that one.
Lets get back to playing teams we can beat. I think (well hope) we have a shot against the rest of the teams in the Conference, expecally the teams in the North.

Good players make any coach look good. Lets see what he can do in a few years or what happens when the going gets rough.
The shock of watching the plane taking off from the treadmill should prepare you for the shock of ISU landing Appleton...
They will ride him out of town next year after Beasley goes pro and the team is not nearly as good.
The two main guards made some really stupid plays. If they can;t shoot, pass off or dribble to set someone up for a shot. They have not improved much. Unless our guards get better real fast, no NIT. BP does not make many mistakes, but he is a poor assist person. DG cannot shoot the ball on his drive because his hands may be too small. SH is now 1-27. Cory, AT, Boozer and Lee need more playng time. Craig starts huge and after 10 minutes he fades. This is a forty minute game. I think Jiri, AT, Wes, and Rashon are doing all they can. The other people need to get better fast or we do not have enough parts to replay the two kansas teams in Hilton.
I think KSU will beat Kansas in Manhattan. They will plug the middle and the Kansas finger rolls wil not work.

Why is it always about next year? Football, basketball, everyone always talking about next year ... until next year comes and we are in the same boat as this year, and the same people talking about next year when "help comes".
It's not that I expected us to win this one, but the score really depresses me. I still think we will finish the year ok, and still have a shot at the postseason...even the NCAAs if we are lucky, but I just hate seeing these kind of games.
It's not....This year is about next year, last year was about the year before, but next year will be about next year, and the next year will finally be this year, and if not we have the next year after that...promise...:wink:

MUCH more impressed with KU than KSU. Certainly KSU could win, but my credits will likely be on KU unless the line is crazy.
Sorry, time to use Boozer more. The experiment is not working at point guard unless you can shoot some or create shots. I do not see very many assists on this team.
Yeah my mistake. Last Friday I couldn't figure out why there were so many basketball games on until I figured out it was actually Saturday. Retirement's great. Fish will be bighting in a couple months is about all I know these days.
they out rebounded us 52-33 and out assisted us 22-12. 52 rebounds!! I could not believe how many we missed just because we couldn't pick up the damn ball. I'd like to say we didn't box out well, but that would mean we attempted to.
