Clones win 27-16. We continue to struggle a bit in the red zone, but Mahoney is money with two more field goals. Our D gives up some yards but holds strong in the red zone and forces 3 turnovers.

After watching the BC game twice I feel we can pound Kent State inside and hurt then with mis-direction. They are not physical but are fast on defense. They also over pursue. Jarvis is very good, but the rest of the offense can be stopped even if we key on Jarvis IMHO. ISU 31 Kent State 13.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say 52 -17 good guys. Time for the Cyclones to put some points on the board.
Our tackling in the first game has me a bit concerned about stopping their QB and RB, they're both slippery. Holding BC to 21 points is fairly impressive as well.

Someone explain to me why this is going to be a close game. I know we are hesitant to get our hopes up b/c we have been let down so hard in the past, but this is NOT the "same old Clones".

Isn't Kent State returning something like 15 starters? I think ISU will win but it's going to be a close game.
I think you are correct and this team held BC to 21 points - I don't know how good the BC offense is or isn't but it seems like most predictions have the Clones scoring a lot of points and I don't think that will happen.

BC lost a lot from their team a year ago. I think our boys come ready to play with the feeling that they've got something to prove. 35-21 we pull away in the third quarter.
