ISU vs. Iowa Predictions

I think it's going to be tight. KF in tight games vs. ISU = pain for Iowa fans.

ISU 24
Iowa 20

Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face. If this is a close game, which I think it will be, KF will fall back into the habits he's developed for 15+ years. Conservative and predictable offense. Squishy defense. Horrible clock management and coaching at crunch time. Hope I'm wrong.

KF's conservative offense is what has kept ISU in this game all the past years. It has allowed ISU to stay in it. If Iowa would get ahead by 21 or so ISU would fold up IMO.

I think the lock here is the under 54. This will be a low scoring game...if not, i'll eat crow but i would be shocked if its not a similar game to last year, score wise.

Agreed. I see both teams scoring under 20. Think the offenses will really struggle.

History says if this is a close game, ISU will have won but a lopsided score usually means Iowa wins. I think this year it'll be a close one.

I'd be shocked if we scored under 20. They are built to stop B1G teams. They will struggle with our speed and spreading it around. You will see plays you didn't see against UNI.

Taylor is our best run stop d-line man according to Wally. Glad to have him back for this game.

Having him opposite Pierson will just help even more too. They feed off of eachother and can both get to the QB. That's not to mention Tucker who's just a shade of what he will become by the end of the year.

What shade will he be by the end of the year?

We have only scored more than 24 points, in regulation, against Iowa one time in the last 16 years. And that was in 2002 with Seneca. We should be able to hold Iowa to under 24 but who knows with Beathard and their power running game. I think we win 21-17.

While I was impressed with the defense and little underwhelmed by the offense, I'll remain cautiously optimistic
