ISU vs Iowa Matchup Math

The hype about Niang is nothing. I've watched multiple games and he isn't a match up problem for anybody on this team. He shoots 25% behind the stripe and IDGAF about what he did last year behind the stripe. That right there makes him a on dimensional player limiting him to inside the arc. Olaseni will rip him apart. He is more athletic and long than Niang. And if you wanna talk about his shooting % last year, Niang was 6-14 from the field and 1-5 from 3 last year. Bad stat line.

you smoke meth with the rest of the tavernhawk hillbilly Buchanan County folk

I would take as a unit ISU's starting five over Iowa's. But most rational ISU fans would have to say Iowa's next 5 are better than ISU's.

I'll be the first one to give credit when a guy nails it like this guy did.

I can't help myself, I'm an engineer - I need to quantify this ISU / Iowa game using some basic math. Here's a table with the players I think will be matched up. For each row, the numbers must add up to 10. A higher number indicates who I think wins the matchup and the difference between the numbers indicates how much better I think the player is.

I tried not to be too much of a koolaid driver -- this is my honest assessment. See if you disagree with the matchups and/or the numbers. My table doesn't take into account a zillion factors like home court advantage or the fact that our guys are going to be quite tired playing 7 vs 9, but in the end I have us with a victory by a pretty small margin.

You came real close on that one, Bob.
